Ive seen them 3 times now, (been a fan since the beginning, the only one that she was somewhat sick at was the black symphony show at the ahoy. She had a cold a few days before and was just getting over it but did the show anyways and still sounded amazing as she always does. Either way, whether she's sick or not i'll never be disappointed with any of her performances.

@Yunaja That's an illusion, actually. If you notice in this video, Sharon's voice matches Anneke's in terms of both pitch, intensity and projection. That sense of "fragility" is something Sharon's voice has... but in reality it is actually as strong as a singer who sounds unmaskedly powerful as Anneke. She doesn't throw the brute strength in there. She hides it behind that "fragile" voice. But the technique and the voice itself aren't fragile at all.

you are right by saying sharon doesnt have "power" in her voice, but she doesnt need it, her voice is crystal clear and has a nice certain sound in it. talking about stage performance, in my opinion, sharon is one of the best live singers out there, meaning she doesnt need studio hocus pocus to sound great, like 60% of the other singer out there do, while still hitting the notes spot on. this is not a rant, but a "realistic" observation ;)

@112keesie Yeah but check out the Rotterdam - Metropole live video of this (which is far better audio quality) where you'll find they're both equally strong and perefectly matched. Sharon's quality of vocals is vastly superior to this, full of power and passion and Anneke is outa this world. What a combo !!

it seems you only have a vague idea about what meta is, probably never listened to it your self and now you're trying to correct others. you can't judge one band from one song you happened to hear. songs like see who I am, the howling, our solemn hour, mother earth, ice queen etc are most definitely metal. And it's called symphonic or atmoshperic metal.

HELL NO, sometimes her voice at live is differet at audio songs, because the high tuneius always different as live, and give you a proov, compare this song with the same one at blacksymphony>!>!
