Amazing, always seem to stumble on another piece of perfection from WT, just when I'd forgotten how great some songs are - THIS IS SO FREAKIN' AWESOME!!! Sharon's voice here is truly other-worldly, combining so many singing styles in one song is incredible, and live as well!!. Truly can't believe how good this Goddess is!!!! On wikipedia. 3rd sentence under the title Within temptation, just type in Sharon Den Adel. There is a subtitle 'within temptation' and it says in that paragraph. The exact words are something like "Her vocals play a major role in the band's sound despite never having had vocal training". I couldn't believe it either!!

Oh cool!! It's funny because thats the last thing I thought it would mean....the lyrics sound much more like a life and death struggle, than a song behind the band. Thats why Within Temptation is so great, their songs can be interpertated in a different way to everyone, but yet have the same meaning.

i live in canada and don't have that much money (b/c i need a damn job) so trying to get it from europe with all the price stuff is goinging to be retarted (shipping, euros to canadian money, tax's) i will still buy the dvd, but the north american version doesn't have that feature, and i'd REALLY love to see it

its one thing to have the subject of death in a song another to show it so graphically, my daughter doesn't listen to every nightwish album and song anyway, you cannot get away from death and suicide etc it is on the news all the time but just trying to protect my daughter a little

This song is suppose to be a conversation between god and a girl who is desperate for help before she decides to commit suicide. In the end she is suppose to have gotten help from god. Hence the phrase "why have you waited to embrace me my dear?" A lot of their songs are slightly religous based be it pagan or about god (although they are not a christian band) either way the song is pwerful, and although its graphic I think it does have a positive message within.

The background of the girl cutting her wrists is terrible I was going to by this for my 8 year old daughter who like myself is a massive Within Temptation Fan. she also loves nightwish and leaves eyes. But I am being careful to keep her away from any bands that show anything to do with suicide etc. I though within temptation was not one of those bands. I am extremely disapointed

Yeah, I didn't think it really fit the song either. This was one of my favorite songs on the dvd though.Definitely should not skip on buying the dvd just because of this song, the whole show was amazing.

i am sorry... but who cares about what religion they follow? They are an amazing band, what does their faith have anything to do with it? Or are you suggesting that atheists like me should hate this song because we are not christian/wicca/whatever? Just listen to the music, don't try to interpret it too much, it is what it is.
