I live in the US, and just now heard these guys, and I have to say that Within Temptation is probably the best band I have heard in a LONG time! They will not leave my CD player in my car. I would love to see them live!

i saw an interview with WT and sharon said "of course you always have something in common with other bands, but you must always do your own thing. something which makes you unique. if you look in the same genre like lacuna coil, Nightwish, Evanescence, the four of us are so different."

I love this band. They rock live. But I have to dissagree with the ones who say it is hard to find artists who sound good live. Most of the people I listen to are wonderful live. A very few aren't good live.

Guys, if you're going to thumb her down, BleedingAmy LIKES Evanescence (look at her profile) and she's just giving her opinion that sometimes Amy Lee isn't that great live. So stop doing it.

She sounds fairly good in this video. A little flat on a few notes, which in the studio they fix because she can probably sing it again or fix it digitally. Still love the music, though.

I am a bigger Evanescence fan then WT. But youve gotta understand, WT was FIRST. WT had released two studio albums, and two EPs before Evanescence even came about. But I do prefer Evanescence. I'm not dissing eather of the bands, there both AMAZING

That was truly amazing. They are mindblowingly awesome live. I just can't understand why people keep comparing Within Temptation to Evanescence and Sharon to Amy? Within Temptation and Sharon blows Evanescence and Amy out of the water. Evanescence are utterly pathetic live. Long live Within Temptation. \m/

Actually, I can...lol. You don't go flat because you are tired. When your voice starts to get worn out it gets softer, or more harsh sounding like you need to drink a gallon of water. It's ok though. I understand that most singers these days can't really sing that great without studio help. No offense meant to you, Lozza.

If the corset is laced right she should be able to sing fine. Also, Amy is terrible with performances because you can hardly understand her. I think that during this part she's just a bit tired. Unless this is one of her first songs..... But I don't believe it's because of her corset. Look up live performances of Emilie Autumn and you can see she doesn't have any problems with singing while having her corset laced tightly.

Simple. She's singing while laced in. She should know better than to perform in a corset. I'm a wearer too as well as a singer, it causes problems and doesn't allow for proper breathing while singing. She should know to wear a fake corset or not to lace so tightly.

I will also add that Evanescence are pretty terrible live, Amy lee always seems to be to gruff, like she's trying to put on a man's voice to sing, and it completley ruins it, Sharon is waaay better live. That I will say.

It is her corset, and Emilie Autumn does not wear real corsets when she performs. It's easy to tell by watching her move, she has far too much mobility. She has a false corset with plastic bones and seams sewn along the bones to make it appear more realistic. However, it's not a real corset. There's no way to "lace a corset right" to make it easier to sing. Only another wearer can understand that.

in fact ... the 2 voices of Amy and Sharon are too dif. and they are overtalented in their style, but the two bands are completly dif. the music of WT is more easy to play in every instrument than plan one of evanescence(is not a large diference of dificult but Terry Balsamo and Amy makes the music a little more hard) one of the bands are too commercial and the other more underground the 2 are exelent, is only a trouble of likes and dislikes

What is with Pinkpop? Everytime I hear a band or singers there, they don't seem to be as great as they usually are. They sound off or breathey, or not as strong as they normally are. Maybe Pinkpop as bad audio or something?
