i would actually focus on the bedroom first whenever you get back! even though you dont spend a lot of waking time in there, you’re ideally spending at least a third of your day in there sleeping 😅 a very important room to prioritize so you maximize your rest hours & feel the most comfortable when you’re in it! if you can paint the ceilings, something that might make the room feel a little less tall and more cozy would be painting the ceiling a deep, dark hue that comes down the walls as well, maybe about 8 inches? some more floating bookshelves on that wall could help as well, but obviously accessing those books might be a little annoying so maybe another gallery wall or a mural of some kind c: absolutely love your apartment, thanks for sharing it with us

13:30 possible ideas for above the bed! - you could paint your own tapestry! something i recently got into it roll-pressing flowers onto cotton fabrics, and it's really easy to do! a quick rundown is you prep whatever you're pressing, then place flowers & leaves & petals (even onion peels can be used) onto the fabric, then roll it up, tie it up with thread, and then steam it! you can find more info online about it bc i'm still a beginner - if you're up for it, you could also paint or get your friends to help paint either an accent wall or create like a strip of mural/art going across the entirety of the bed wall that doesn't fully cover the entire space! it could be a fun way to hang out with friends & get some color on the wall to eliminate the negative space! - i'm always a hugeeee fan of your gallery walls, so i think that could be fun OR - more floating shelves!!!!

The beauty about getting an MLS (librarian) degree is that you can always do it later in life. Knew plenty of classmates who went into libraries as their 2nd or 3rd career since everything is transferrable skills with libraries! The (relatively) low pay and the job market are among the bigger issues library grads face unfortunately. We'd be lucky to have you in libraryland.

1. NEED to know where your french press is from, it's so cute 2. as someone who just finished their first year post-grad and living alone, making the space a home really is an incremental process! giving myself room to slowly build out a more "adult" apartment was really important (especially as someone with a tiny studio) and i'm glad i resisted the urge to fill up every nook and cranny immediately. my biggest tip, especially as a fellow maximalist, is give the eye at least one place to rest in every room. that will make the more cozy and cluttered sections feel like a deliberate design choice, and leave space in case you want to move things around later on. 3. my cat was also reluctant when i got him a big cat tree, and i found establishing that as His Space where i wouldn't bother him or go for cuddles made him start using it, since he realized he could have a corner of the apartment to just chill by himself!

That way, you can make better judgments on placement before you commit, and you'll be able to reuse the cutouts if or when you end up moving somewhere new. Absolutely in love with your space! The color palette is immaculate! My only recommendation for maybe some of the empty wall space in the bedroom or dining room potentially would definitely be a mirror. It'll help make the space seem bigger as well as brighter to help reflect light. I love the idea of accent paint or maybe even a peel and stick wallpaper for some added texture. Just some thoughts. hmm if you're looking for apartment ideas, here's some (just my opinion though!!) - maybe the gallery wall feels off because things are like aligned but just not aligned but not clearly unaligned, if that makes sense? like my eye wants to draw a straight line at the border for example and i can almost do it but not quite - if your work is on the dining table, maybe that means your office isn't functioning exactly as it needs to be? i recently also moved to a smaller space and i think having zones are helpful. i'm not sure how practical you want your office floating shelves to be since they can't hold that much weight, but maybe they can become somewhat more utilitarian - i love the light strips you added to the kitchen!!!

Love that maximalist design is making a comeback), but with the living room gallery wall, I would maybe add a few more unframed items to the right side of the wall! Most of your unframed stuff is hanging up on the left hand side and further down, so maybe putting some unframed stuff higher up on the right might help with what you were talking about a missing puzzle piece! Love your style!! Edit: I've finished the video, and want to reiterate that I love how you've designed your apartment! Linh! I went to Iceland this summer and it was great. A few recs: 1. Eldur og ís had the best crepes I’ve ever had! In Reykjavik 2. Icelandic Street Food (yes that is the name of the restaurant 😂) in Reykjavik was so warm and cozy for the cold weather! 3. If you’re going in fall/winter, definitely bundle up and be prepared to get wet-I got some quick dry pants at REI and while not especially fashionable they were very worth it. 4. If you can, take a tour bus going northwest of Reykjavik towards Snaefellsjokull. I loved this part of the country so much! 5. Licorice up there is really good! You’re going to love it, it was such a beautiful country and I would definitely go back!
