I imagine you've changed opinions on her heavy finisher as an option to let rip and hope it hits but you can just soft feint gb to force the mix on your opponents. I think shes quite oppressive once you condition them on either going for parry or waiting for gb and on top of that you can still go into all block to counter lights or hard feint finisher for parry or cc light. I think shes a bit of a nightmare hero for react gremlins who play her safe.

Ggs S! She seems pretty mid in duels but her dodge forward light into fullblock catches if you mix it up with bashes, much like BP/Aramusha. She's definitely made for Dominion tho. A little disappointing

I felt the exact same way about her kit and it seems other people aren't far behind to say she's kind of lackluster in duels rn despite being a pretty solid 4s character. Her soft feints are actually respectable options to give you mix-ups that aren't just light light, light heavy, heavy heavy, heavy light (as all her chains are unfortunately 2 long) You can soft feint basically any heavy into full-guard to catch interrupts, and you can soft feint finisher heavies into gb- but all options are GBable so hard feinting (as it looks like you were doing? hard to tell from purely the video but it looks slow to me comparatively) is safer to an extent in my experience- still a decent mix-up to throw in every once in a while to make them paranoid about their attacks landing. Great games as always though, sadge about the toxicity, cheers.

I appreciate the 2 light combo cause i hate that many characters can turn off their brains and spam lights, i feel like they divided her moveset in 2 attack and defense, unfortunately in a game you don’t always use both, so when you fight against a patient player like that jorm at the beginning you actually don’t know what to do. I get that shes a 4vs4 character but i cannot appreciate a hero that is not created for all available gamemods.

I find duels tricky cause her lights are 500ms and she has no hyper armor or undodgeables and the full guard isn't just countered by GB but also by timings.

Lol they’re just a free parry if someone is paying attention, and it ends your chain, even if it lands almost no damage. People can just block it on reaction and not even parry, at that point you’re getting into your chain and not even using your only pressure, the unblockable.

Mr S, how would you rate the new hero overall? Personally, I'm not really a big fan at all. High stamina costs, little to no mix-up / options... it just feels like this character is missing something; maybe multiple things, but definitely at least one thing. On controller, her all-guard-feint simply isn't effective either as it can be activated by mistake due to how the analog sticks recoil. So, so, so many times have I lost fights or lost attacking options because the all-gaurd has came out on it's own - this is the exact reason I don't play Nobushi. Also, did you know that her light-heavy combo can be interrupted / traded with every single time? I'm not sure if it's an oversight by the devs, but you can at least trade with her unblockable by lighting as soon as you can after she hits you with a light. Overall, for me, a meh hero that falls victim to the controller all-guard issue. But, as always, love the videos ❤

My experience in almost every game, dominion and brawls, is that VG is quite strong. Maybe it's because we aren't used to her combo / mixups.

​@@dominickblazing8472Griffon and her are two sides of the same coin. Griffon hyper armours in team fights, Vguard pins people in team fights. Both stop opponents from pressing buttons. Her T2 gives damage reduction to her. His T1 reduces enemy attack damage. Her T1 heals allies on all-block/sup-light, his T2 AoE heals on cooldown. Her T3 buffs allies and herself on certain attacks. His T3 hurts enemies and heals himself and allies on cooldown. (Not 1:1 but in the realm of support T3s) Big one is the T4s. Her T4 hurts enemies then debuffs all enemies in a lingering area. His also hurts enemies but heals allies in an area. Vguard and Giffon are the same archtype but different flavours. They'll both suffer in 1v1s because their kits are balanced around 4v4. I'm all for it. Heavies should be really strong in 4v4s but have less options in 1v1s. Note; Not be weaker in 1v1s, but have less options.

I dont think shes boring or anything. I believe shes easy to pick up but hard to master, I think once we start seeing more skilled players on her she'll seem stronger because of how much her defensive options open up for her. While 2 input chains do suck ive never really been impacted negatively by it when im playing other heroes like Zhanhu, who I main, and she should have at least more options than Zhanhu due to full guard and crushing counters.

Lol I didn’t! But… now that I think about it, I’m kinda glad. Soft feinting prevents the possibility of seeing a light and quickly parrying/blocking the interrupt, forcing you to commit to one option. Whereas a hard feint gives you all options still! Good to know though, thanks!

I think VG has many good defensive tools and offensively she is very much like warlord. Just on paper she should rank higher than warlord in duels.

Ehhh.. idk. Warlord has frame after EVERYTHING. Every bash, every blocked heavy, everything. She doesn’t. So they effectively have the same tools, granted she had slightly better defense (but no NEUTRAL HA), so I honestly thin WL is better still. Just having so much frame, always your turn, 15dmg bashes, with frame afterwards, and neutral HA for GB advantage and whatnot. Way easier and more effective in my opinion.
