Old broken wave was painful cuz 1m hp broken creator and 300k hp broken developer and pulsar was the best tower in the game at that moment. And broken developer`s healing was crazy 10k hp per second.

The Thing is easily destroyed by collision damage, so use uplink and precinct for that enemy, or just hope your brute spam can shred them fast enough, bc brute can deal 1 damage per shot to these enemies faster than any other units.
