I love listening to council from our leaders . President Eyring being one of the most sincere men of God I have ever heard testify. We as a church are so blessed to have these work men guide and lead .

I look back how the world was in 2007 when this talk was first given and compare it to these days. I feel that the evil in today’s world has waxed loud. It is very difficult to hear the daily promptings of the Holy Ghost due to the evil and distractions of today’s world. I hope my heart and ears will always be open to the promptings of the Holy Ghost. If the Holy Ghost has departed from my presence, due to my actions. Then I ask the Light of Christ to help me repent. That through repentance I may have the Holy Ghost as a constant companion. May we always remember Jesus Christ and what he has done for us. I know I can proclaim my love to God by keeping His commandments. This talk was so good I had to listen to it again. It is filled with excellent ideas and helpful information. Thank you for posting it.

I love to reminisce with family on the rare occasions that past blessings come up into our minds. Some of it is humorous, and some gives one or more of us, a special honor and respect by others. We did not fight, we got along, thank you to our mom and dad. Mom was not tolerant of criticism, and all Dad had to do was give you that look. We almost never dared to say a mean or unkind word to each other. I only remember (and need to forget) the only few times I heard them. Each of our needs was very important to our mom and dad, and our dad would include these words in his blessings on the food, “Help us to be mindful of the needs of others.” And that he was, and encouraged everyone to do the same. Mom taught us about the gospel, and was also good to us as we grew up. We were a happy family, I guess like in the Book of Mormon, there was no contention in “our land” (our lives) because of the love ❤️ of God which did dwell in our hearts. We have many happy memories!!

That’s such a beautiful reflection on your family and the blessings you've shared together. It’s clear that the love and unity your parents cultivated had a profound impact on all of you. Thank you for sharing these precious memories-it's a reminder of how powerful love and the gospel can be in creating a happy and harmonious family.
