All their children have been successful , except for Garrison doing what he did . He was drunk and maybe didn’t know what he was doing . It all goes back to Kody being a flake of a father . The $ Kody used to drop on that house was enough to buy a decent house in full. No mortgage on the house just taxes at the end of the year and then he could stockpile what he earns. So his “fear” of poverty doesn’t track.

Oof, even in Maddie talking about insurance you can tell she hasn't totally learned what normal is. Typically one parent has insurance for the kids through work. The ACA allowed families access to subsidized plans. It isn't typical to sometimes have insurance and sometimes not.

I've worked in Social Services front lines for over 13 years in Utah. If you are unwed but have children in common and you are in the home 51 percent of the time or more overnight you are considered a parent. If you are not in the home overnight 51% or more of the time than you are not. This also means that during Maddie's surgery for her appendix they likely defaulted to medicaid. Which isn't necessarily fraudulent considering what's his bucket wasn't in the home 51 percent or more of the time. His income and assets wouldn't factor in much.

You can be poor and be a good parent. That said, it was fiscally irresponsible to keep having babies when you can't afford to feed the ones you have. It makes the kids look around and compare what everyone has. Such as Leon getting more because Meri's budget didn't have to go as far. That will mess up a kid.

How can Christine afford her new house with David if she still owes so much money towards the medical bills for her kids? How are banks not seeing Kody’s fraudulent ways and still giving him money towards a mortgage?

Hate to break the news to you but health insurance is so expensive for hourly labor, there is probably STILL a ton of families without health insurance. Marketplace plans provide some more options but don't necessarily guarantee coverage. The penalty for lack of coverage is so small compared to the actual insurance costs.

I find it interesting that Maddie wanted her father to be the officiant for her wedding and also gave her first born his name for her middle name. When did she realize what he was really like?
@gottabme25 күн бұрын
As far as the wedding goes, she may have been encouraged to make that decision. 1) Kody saw an opportunity to show off; 2) Kody wouldn't have to pay an officiant; 3) Kody could present himself as 'family priest' again.... it literally has Kody all over it, imo. 🤷♀️😂

Maddie is the most vocal of the kids but Mykelti. Maddie doesn't have a problem with putting out the truth of polygamy. Mykelti dances around the truth of polygamy. Maddie does make money with her podcast but Caleb has a job. Myjelti also makes money off her podcast but I don't know if Tony has a job. Ge reminds me a little bit of Koodie. My bets are on Maddie and Caleb naking the best financial decisions for their family.

I know right. Soometimes you do what you have to do. This may be an unpopular opinion, but this is a bit judgemental. Having affordable health care is an issue for 6 you have 1 kid, 15 kids, or no kids. Hence, the reason for the affordable care act. Is it easy for people to say things and look down on people until you are in the situation yourself.

How is she taking care of Janelle? Janelle makes her wage from Tlc, she was the receiver of Garrisons insurance money and will. Garrisons house was sold today. So she receives that. Janelle is fine, probably why she isn't suing Kody because he will want to go for that money.

I liked the three OG wives to finally maybe get their own show and have these discussions about how they would’ve probably done things differently. I totally understand the indoctrination and how they were brought up thinking that this is the way the only way, but I would like to hear a discussion on how they feel now and how they’re handing their handling theirrelationships with their adult children
@cosmiccountrygirl17925 күн бұрын
why - so we can watch them get rich - the wives all played into the fake sister wives show - time to end it all and live in the real world - Never forget the tragedy of Garrison - enough is enough - the kids all suffered the damages of polygamy as Kody and the wives portrayed their lives to be in harmony - until Robyn came along and the truth was exposed.

With five adults in that family, four should have been working full time and one at home looking after the children yet, that didn't happen because Kody is a poor manager and a lazy man. No reason for these kids to starve! How can he hold his head up and be proud of his family.

You don’t have to have money to be happy and have a wonderful family life. Nothing we learn should surprise us about Kody and his finances. Everything is always about him, including the money. Kody has to have the best and the most, so it is of little surprise that the last woman standing is Robyn. Pay the women what you owe them and ride off into the sunset never to be heard of again. PS take Robyn with you!

I subscribe to this channel with Maddie. I'm surprised at how much we have in common. I'm old enough to be her mother, but I've had to cut ties with family, and my daughter and I have created our own. There are a lot of topics they've covered, and I really appreciate how they discuss things. They don't name people, or turn it into a bashing party, nor pity party. Also, talking with her mother, sometimes having to let her know that something has hurt her. Yet, Mom (Janelle) is learning from she and Caleb. That makes Janelle a great Mom, changing at her age and the things the "cult" had taught her... Maddie's words. She truly loves Hunter as he shows up at every special day, or when someone needs a little help, like being ill, or with Ysabel after her surgery. She calls him "like where's Waldo, where's Hunter. I told my daughter about the channel and she quickly subscribed. There's a lot that could help her as well. 😊❤

I noticed this season Maddie has falling back into old patterns with her mother. Maddie shouldn't have to figure out her mother's finances or coming to terms with everything else Janelle should be dealing with - without leaning on Maddie! She shouldn't have to pickup the piece's of Savannah's life and figure out Kody's rejection of her. Even Christine's daughter's run to North Carolina for some sense of normalcy. I was that daughter/sibling/friend/ etc. On the one hand it's exhausting on the other it fills an emotional hole left from never having a childhood. I think it's a terrible idea for Maddie and her husband to go into business together, buy land and build together. Christine and Janelle are both too needy. Christine found David and he's all about being her rescuer/ knight in shining armor. Janelle is still caught up into the parentification of Maddie and I dare say her husband.

I was married to someone who was around more when the kids were small and gave unconventional love all the time. As the kids started having a voice his switch flipped and it became abusive and he was told to leave our home. So I get this weird little kid love he has for the kids that are full of love and their parents hung the moon to them asking questions and having their own mind and voice.

A few of my thoughts: > I wonder if Robyn and Kody were so proud of themselves for “offering” to pay for Dayton’s eye mishap medical bills because that’s not something Kody ever gave much of a crap about before. Ya know, in addition to their other delusional manipulative ways. > So, Janelle ALSO had to take care of “her” children’s medical bills! Sick! > I wonder if a blessing-in-disguise of the moms venting to their children contributed to the children’s decisions to not live in plural marriages. > I wonder if Robyn has medical insurance for her kids, and if that was part of Kody “needing” to adopt the kids. 🤷🏼♀️

I’ve had health issues since I was 4. I just kept being diagnosed with multiple autoimmune diseases. I had my son, separated from his father and raised him alone. I also worked FT and OT. My father didn’t help and my step mother is toxic. My mommy was deceased. I wanted another child, but the pregnancy, the cost of child care, he went to private school, all the activities plus health issues, I knew this was all I can handle. I wanted to give my son everything he needed and most of what he wanted. His father financially provided but didn’t assist in the child rearing or keep him over night until he was 11. As much as I wanted more, I knew it was irresponsible. When my body finally failed and I needed disability, I had all I could do to care for my son. We made it, he’s 22, I’m doing better thanks to biologicals and I consistently work PT. I’m not perfect but I gave my son the best I had. I was always there for him.
