I know that the regional Hindu kings in North India used to busy invaders to deal with them !! It must have slowed down the proceeding of foreign invaders toward Deccan !! This temple was destroyed by Muslims and xians many number of times. But every time it was rebuilt. Sea faring Hindu merchants used to worship here before going to Indonesia, combodia, Bali and Africa. On their return used to thank the Lord for their safety and prosperity.
