Witness describes desperately trying to warn police that gunman was on roof at Trump rally

A witness says he and his friends tried warning police for several minutes that a gunman was on a roof during the Trump rally, but that Secret Service didn't take action until between five and eight shots were fired.
"We see him, you know, he's he's crawling. And next thing you know, I'm like, I'm thinking to myself, I'm like, Why is Trump still speaking? Why have they not pulled him off the stage? I'm standing there pointing at him for you know, 2 or 3 minutes. Secret Service is looking at us from the top of the barn. I'm pointing at that roof just standing there like this. And next thing you know, five shots rang out," Greg Smith claimed.

This reporter is lame. Why ask the witness what happened and then try to censor his response? "They blew his head off" is an honest response. The NY Post's motto is "If it bleeds, it leads," so why is this reporter trying to temper his reply? Why doesn't the cameraperson pan at any point to the roof the witness keeps describing and pointing at? I'd rather see that than the witness' beer or soft drink can. Why ask what kind of rifle it was? There are various types of rifles, including the automatic rifle, the bolt-action rifle, the lever-action rifle, and the semi-automatic rifle. Does the reporter really expect the viewers to know the difference? "I wasn't close enough to read the label" on the rifle was funny. The witness is more intelligent than the reporter. His questions were lame.

Police "traffic control" to investigate the report of Crooks being on the roof, and one boosted the other one up and the guy that got boosted up was hanging on and Crooks pointed the rifle at him and he dropped down to the ground to avoid being shot, why did Greg here not see this happen?
