I just stumbled upon your channel and subscribed. I am a avid rockhound who unfortunately is unable to rockhound right now due to health issues. So being able to watch you rockhound in your videos brings me great joy. Please keep posting and keep up the adventuring! Love the content. Keep rocking out!

I am always grateful for the opportunity to help get people back out on the river (so to speak). I’m sorry about your health issues but rest assured I will keep making videos. In the meantime there’s a lot of older videos to enjoy on my channel while you wait

Looking forward to watching future drone videos showing the changing flow rates of the Yellowstone. Amazing footage! Thank you for sharing it with us. I live in central Montana near the Missouri but I'd love to live closer to the Yellowstone. The agates are calling and I must go...

Thank you for sharing beautiful part of the country. I had/have relatives in the Missoula area but have never met them. I am 79 yrs. old & will probably never. I currently live in S. E. Iowa and our state is also feeling the changes that mother nature has thrust upon us in N.W. Iowa. It is tragic & wonderful & we need to learn how to live with the changes & make better choices about handling those changes. I grew up here in the mid-west & have seen many things that so many don't understand or believe. Unfortunately, many will have to learn how to adapt the hard way& many don't or won't accept that change is inevitable & beautiful at the same time. Thanks again for your videos & take care of your little family & Kip.

I hear you, though it’s important to note that in this case the flooding is a normal part of the cycle of life for the Yellowstone and essential to the health of the river and the entire ecosystem

Thank you for sharing this incredible video! It's interesting to see the river over flowing it's banks naturally. How deep is the river at it's highest level? I live in New Orleans, we have the Mississippi River which is held back by many levees. This keeps the river from flooding the city and surrounding area. Holding the river back has caused some of our marsh and land area to disappear. The loss of this marsh and land makes us more vulnerable to to flooding from Hurraines. I hope to visit the Yellowstone to go rock hounding one day. Keep the great videos coming. Looking forward to seeing you back on the river soon!

Mesmerizing! Alex, You have a pure talent for storytelling. I love "chocolate milk like water" I've watched this video at least 5 times now, and will watch it again and again. Nature is Majestic with its gifts that tantalize all 5 senses and create more that can be felt in the depths of ones soul. Thank you for creating this captivating video and sharing it with the world. I'm looking forward for the ones that will follow. ❤ Kip is the perfect model, by the way! ❤ Stay safe!

Thank you so much for creating this! I am from Montana originally and have always loved the rivers and their power and ancient wisdom. I always had all my pockets full of rocks. My dad and I would stand in the yard and watch the storms roll in. I love the way you showcase the brilliant and stunning beauty that is everywhere. You even got the sky and showed how it looks as though you should be able to grab it. Many blessings

Living in Connecticut, so far away from Montana, the drone footage makes the flooding much More Real than seeing newspaper articles or hearing about it on radio or TV. From the footage, it was hard to see if towns/cities were impa ted by these flooding waters. I opened my big map of Montana to see if I could get a better look of where the Yellowstone River flows from. Difficult on state road maps to see how rivers flow because of dillenation of cities/town. Which is the source of the Yellowstone River: Yellowstone Lake in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming or the Missouri River in North Dakota? I'd rather use 'actual maps', rather than Google maps, which I did from my several atlases wbich I used to see where/how the Yellowstone flows. Tha nk you for the drone footage showing how the Yellowstone River overflows its' banks during the Spring floods from mountains heavy snow packs. I know the farmers expect it every year, but it .must be devasting as well.

Well....yes! a bit more documentary feeling/leaning just like this one? Maybe some insight(s) into the geologic history of your area and even some human history? The narrative is certainly good in this one, heartfelt and perceptive. Just thinking out loud here. The agate hunting "base" seems to be a good place to perhaps expand into other perspectives. In any case, best of luck with everything, we'll keep an eye peeled. 😂 Jay and Sally Troutman NC

Gorgeous film!! Thanks so much for making & sharing it. There are so many different aspects of this magnificent river--which those of us who don't live near it enjoy learning about. Rivers are so important for the entire environment and have always been huge geographic icons throughout history, around the world. And they STILL ARE! Thanks for your excellent work--I have SAVED this one for future enjoyment!

The river is beautiful and gave me a higher perspective. The closing sky was so soothing. Then the flash of lightning added that mystically effect. I can see what kept the native nation there for so long. Then white man arrived and threw everything off kilter. Now the White Buffalo has been born and this significance means that mother earth is sick. This is the sign that we need to change our ways to allow her to heal or we will slowly die from an element we created. Plastic 😮
