Witness the Unbelievable Power of Nature: HIT BY A STORM!!

The campsite Shell Island in Wales throws a big weekend end-of-season party where you get to dress up for Halloween if you want, they also put on a huge firework display and have live acts on in the evenings.
So in this video, we camped as a group which we don't normally do but some other families wanted to experience the weekend but before they turned up we had to endure a 8-hour storm with very strong winds. Luckily the tent survived and the rest of the stay was calm.

Yeh it definitely was lively, once we survived the storm all was good, the old skool music was mint and the live band and Kevin and Perry doing a set early on.....was like ibeefaaa lol

Thanks for sharing! I bought a vango tent and live in the states. It has been an amazing tent so far. Best camping purchase in my life. My family loves to go camping all the time now.

We have an air frame tent and went through storm Betty in the Lake District. We used our 4x4 to shelter the side of the tent and a beach inf break hammered well in the protect the front. Still had collapsing beams due to 50mph gusts. Scary stuff at 1am with two little kids trying to sleep.

OMG what a fantastic video !!!! You have a gorgeous family and it's so lovely to see the site doing community type things 😊, I used to camp at shell Island in The 70/80's with my mum dad and little brother! Oh and our dogs too ! And amazingly it's pretty much the same !! We also used to have the customary days on the fair at Barmouth ! I wish you had mentioned how loud Shell Island is at night. How many large groups there are getting drunk and shouting at 1am. We went there recently for a weekend and it was dreadful

That is the weekend vibe unfortunately, usually quite peaceful in the back of beyond when it's not the summer/half term or weekends. I avoid these event nights specifically as all the rules go out the window when people are drunk.

Hi Matthew, yeh its been a great year camping for us, the weather has been kind to us for most of the year. Hope you get up the Ben, thats a long drive and youve got about the same amount of time going up but its a good achievement and if its a clear day breathtaking views. Thanks for following along, we will have some other videos i think before the end of the year just probably not in the tent.

We have had the shelter a while but we only get it out on camsites thet are big enough such as the one we was at, the event shelter is great and is big enough to put cooking equipment in and all sit around to keep out if the weather but we probably only use it 2-3 times a year so im not sure it was a good investment, i would Say have a think if you would use it on a regular basis and if not then probably not to bother👍

I would just keep chexking the shell island website when they start taking bookings next year as they normally do it at the end of October but this time it was the end of September so im not sure when it will be. Thanks for watching
