That documentary/ walk down memory lane was so well put together. I'm going on 35 years a JFK assassination researcher(I'm 51 now) from Sydney Australia. That Bert played such a lead role on November 22 1963 and Tina Towner witnessing history. What a lovely person and to have finally told her story. Thankyou & well done 👍

I was 7, and knew how bad this was, and couldn't sleep. I went downstairs, to the rec-room, and my parents had left the tv on, very low, so I sat and watched Jack Ruby kill Oswald, on live broadcast. I knew it was very real. Seemed like no one in DC was sleeping. People lights were off, but the bluish lights from the tv's in homes across the street, down the side street, up the street, all were on and I wondered if the entire world was as sad as Americans were that horrible day. I thought of the children, and Mrs. Kennedy, and wrote a letter of condolence to her. I received one in return, thanking me.

I hope you cherished that letter and that you still have it. You were also lucky that yall had a " rec-room"😂. I admit Im jealous, as we had nothing much, but did a roof over our head. I didnt come along until 1965, but I consider myself an avid researcher. My bf graduated high school in 1972 and he sent a graduation invitation to President Nixon, just for a laugh! To his SURPRISE, he received a letter from Nixons office, saying sorry he couldnt attend, but it also expressed a thank you for ilthe invite and also congatulations. He still has tge letter.

I was 6 years when this happened. All the footage I saw of Kennedy getting shot for decades after didn’t show his head being blown apart. I don’t know if the CIA or other government agencies kept that from the public? Once I saw film into the 90’s is when I saw how badly Kennedy was wounded.
@janetphillips2875
@janetphillips2875 5 ай бұрын
It was LIFE Mag who had it. They paid Zapruder like $150k for it. Garrison subpeoned it for the Shaw trial. That was the first time any member of " public" saw it. Then, Robert Groden brought a copy on Geraldo Rivera's Goodnight America in 1975. That's when all of America was able to view it. If arobert had not gotten a copy, Life would still have it hidden away, most likely, just like the Paschall film the museum grabbed up for $250k in 1994, and they locked it up. Most of the time, the image was cut out. Zapruder's family received an additional $16M for the film from our lovely govt just a few yrs ago. Yet the Towner's, Nix's , B. Oliver, Bronson, got zero. The only reason Patsy Paschall had hers is because no one knew she had it until '94.

Time-Life bought the rights to the film in 1963, published several frames in Life Magazine omitting the gruesome head shot, then locked the film up, believing it was too brutal to be shown to the public. After the Jim Garrison-led trial in 1969, bootleg copies started to appear and the film was finally shown to a wide audience in 1975 on a program called Good Night America hosted by Geraldo Rivera

There were many other witnesses that were interviewed that actually saw the shots and the timing of the shots. So this documentary is not very thorough. Look for eyewitness interviews at the time. They all say the second and third shots came almost on top of each other. This is impossible with a bolt action rifle. So at least two shooters fired that day.

I was at the school book depository several times in the 70s by working at DPD, and I got to touch it and feel it all in the suspected snipers' nest. I was and am a huge JFK fan My old chief of Police got the arrest warrant for Oswald and served him with it. I thought my Chief of Police I worked for outside Dallas shared a lot of personal 1st hand knowledge with me. He introduced me in time to several officers who worked the case up close and personal, and they shared their 1st hand knowledge with me. The things I know are profound and special to me. I also, through an unrelated event, got to meet 2 secret service agents with my chief that he worked with during all the investigations, and they shared their 1st hand knowledge with me as well. It's a very long story. I met the railroad workers who were there and got their 1st hand knowledge as well. I'm a blessed man to have met and create great relationships with these amazing people ❤️ God bless yall 🙏

Zapruder film was in custody, secured, processed, copied, distributed and viewed by investigators and media reps way too fast to have been screwed with. What the heck was "Plan B" if other films or evidence turn up contradicting an altered Zapruder film and just prove a conspiracy is operating? Just leaving well enough alone and saying Oswald must have had an accomplice who got away would have suited any conspiracy just fine.

Oswald didn’t assassinate JFK! He was used as a patsy/scapegoat! JFK wasn’t shot in the back of the head. He was shot in the front of the head. The killing shot came from the knoll not the depository. When he was shot, his head jerked backwards and parts of his brain flew out the back of his head. That is why Jackie jumped onto the rear of the limo to retrieve parts of his brain. If he was shot in the back of his head, his head wouldn’t have jerked backwards but forward. It was a Conspiracy!

Your fall guy owned and smuggled the rifle, lied to police, fled the crime scene, shot a cop, was caught trying to shoot a second cop, fought police so violently 3 officers were injured just disarming him, observed, "Well, they say it only takes a minute to die" after asking about the penalty for cop-killing, refused to cooperate, acted so smug he even convinced his own brother he was guilty, and never attempted to blow any conspiracy to anybody.

@@grandpasad Yeah, we know the drill: any evidence points at Oswald, it's all been faked, any witnesses point at Oswald, they're all liars, any investigators point at Oswald, they're all traitors. Oh, and like ALL conspiracy theorists, you never make any attempt to actually address a word of what I said, just make childish insults like that settles the matter. You can set your watch by it.

Why did he say Kenny was shot in the back of the head , he was shot in the front of the head.
@aaronz7056
@aaronz7056 3 ай бұрын
Because he was shot in the back of the head. Kennedy, in Zapruder's film, clearly shows him suffering a massive exit wound exploding at the right temple, consistent only with a shot from behind. Connally's said the shots came from behind. Autopsy shows the shots came from behind. Parkland doctors had no particular problem with the autopsy photos. Witnesses directly under the sixth floor window firmly said the shots came from directly overhead. All bullets and fragments ever found were matched to Oswald's rifle.
