What is so beautiful about this match is the crowd. The crowd is so beautiful, they look so happy and entertained like something really bad could have happened early on in the day but as soon as they saw this match, their sadness was gone, children with their parents and siblings, families, friends of all ages and colour enjoying themselves is a sight to behold. If I was Nadal or Tsitsipas, I would be so happy knowing that they did their job well, not just winning a tournament but bringing so many smiles and emotions to people’s faces is what makes me happy the most 🥰🤗 :)

Nadal not going to let these younger guys gain any confidence. He knows even an exhibition may give them confidence. Tsitsipas is talented, one victory, and he will believe. I believe he beat federer in an exhibition of some sort at the beginning of the year like 2 or 3 weeks before australia either a year or two ago next thing you know he knocked him out in the quarters. I think he met nadal next match and lost though. Now when he plays federer it's always a battle, federer usually wins, but it's more difficult because he believes in himself against him.

You have to love Rafa's fight and desire, but this match did impact him a lot in the Australian summer. Together with the ATP Cup, it was the perfect cocktail to underperform in the AO. I know he only lost in the tiebreaks, but I don't think Thiem was very brilliant at their QF match...I believe Rafa was underperforming at this part of the season. He was playing amazing at the Davis Cup and then he suddenly decided to play a lot before AO and burn out. I think this is the reason that made him think seriously of playing Bercy and Nitto Finals this year, he doesn't want to make the same mistake again. Still I believe that now he took the correct decision since there is more time to recover and he is not arriving so tired at this point of the season because of the pandemic.

Ya completely agree. I always thought there was a certain something that was missing from Rafa at the ATP Cup and especially the AO2020. He was missing shots that he would usually make and seemed mentally exhausted. The FO performance blew my expectations away and I think he is in a good place mentally and physically to have great results in the next 5-6 months.
@tennisradu4 жыл бұрын
I think that the fact he ended last season too late, in the second half of November, made him tired for the Australian swing, which won't be the case in these last 2 tournaments he's playing this year + AO in 2021 💪💪

Rafa wins in every dept. He's 35 now. He's war-torn. He's far from his prime but still he manages to win against younger players.
