Just a small correction - the song is not about perseverance, it is about endurance. Refers mostly to women in coercive marriages, who are unhappy, have no support, are only encouraged to put smiles on their faces, put up with it all, because it will pass. But will it?

I would argue “perseverance” and “endurance” are roughly synonymous and in this context I think “perseverance” fits better.

@@frajoladellagato you might be right, english is not my first language. As i see it, you persevere in something you want to see through, and endure the things unwillingly imposed on you. In my understanding, that is what the song is about. But I might be wrong. And to the other respondent - yes, conservative and not bright, but represents those who struggle. Maybe a serious moment like this would stand out among other songs in the semi and hopefully the final.

The lyrics are just devastatingly beautiful. In the macho Balkans, women hearing these lyrics are getting it, and Nina delivers with grace and passion. Brava!

I personally wanted Nina to win as soon as she finished performing. I'm glad that she is now the representative for Montenegro and I can't wait to see her bring this to Eurovision in May! I really want this to qualify, because it's serving quality, even being quite distinct in term of structure from other ballads we usually see in ESC, and no doubt she'll deliver live vocals (I actually think she has one of the best voices we've ever heard in Eurovision). However I feel like this would struggle to get through without juries: as we saw in the selection she only came 4th in the televote. It is true that the they were working with low figure viewers and that doesn't tell much because of that; but the song has a very slow build-up, that might make it hard to grab people's attention, so many might sleep on this. There's room for improvement and there's a lot of time to make it happen. Good luck Montenegro. 🇲🇪

I agree with everything you both said. 🤝 Personally, I think the song builds up really nicely, but I feel the climax lasts a bit too long. I'd like to see a revamp work on the climax by giving us a moment to breathe then throwing us back deeper into the drama.

It's a beautiful song with a lot of potential. I also think it needs a revamp, since I find the beginning of the song quite lacking. The second part, on the contrary, is very powerful and you can feel Nina's raw emotion. The very end, however, is a bit anticlimactic. She went for an intimate ending with the breathing sounds but I would have gone for a legendary ending, with a powerful note. Her vocal delivery is amazing and I like her wardrobe choice too. My main concern is that, at its current state, I don't think it's memorable enough to grant it a place in the final (specially considering the finalists are now decided exclusively by the televote). If we just change the language of the song, it sounds like a ballad France could send, Greece could send, etc. For that reason, I think it needs a revamp. It needs a bit more personality I guess. More instrumentation would be much appreciated to turn it into the balkan ballad we deserve and make people more engaged to it. It already worked for Montenegro in 2014 and 2015 Conclusion: it's simply good, but it could be a masterpiece with some new elements and little changes. Good luck to Nina. I hope she can redeem herself and qualify this time ❤

I think the past has shown that nothing is impossible, everything comes down to what countries will be competing with Montenegro in the semi, what genres of songs are in its semi etc. It's simply too early to say imo.
