Wix Studio Tutorial | How to Use Wix CMS & Repeaters

In this video, I show you how to setup your CMS in Wix Studio from scratch and how to use repeaters to streamline your design process. Wix CMS and Repeaters are great tools on their own, but they become even more powerful when you combine them.
It nearly automates the entire design process for you once you have your initial design complete! And, making changes afterwards is a breeze. All you have to do is update the spreadsheet style CMS and the design will auto populate.
Wix CMS and Repeaters are available in Wix Studio and the Wix Editor. But you get more design functionality in Wix Studio.

This is a great tutorial. May I ask - how does one change the format though so that it's 5 team members or talent (or product or whatever) across? Is there a way to edit that?

Yes, you can edit that in the repeater settings. You can select how many items show up on each row or column depending on the type of repeater you are using. It will be on the right hand side in the design panel.

what if you want to make the whole box clickable instead of adding a button?

As far as I know, you can't make the repeater items or container boxes clickable with CMS unfortunately. But you can make buttons, images, and text elements clickable.

Was this created on a dynamic page or a dynamic section?

The first part with the repeater on the homepage was a dynamic section. The second part with the profile pages were dynamic pages.

@@lokey416 You can add a dynamic section to any page as long as you add a dataset to it. But dynamic pages have built in capabilities that normal pages don't have. For example, if you add an item page to your site, then each item in your collection will populate dynamically once you design the page for one item. The SEO settings also work dynamically, so you can add dynamic fields for the title tag and meta description. There are other differences that I can't cover here, but I'll try to do a video about it soon. Hope that helps!
