I dont currently own a computer. If I was to create a website using my smart phone will that have any effect on the quality of website?

I have created my Wix website and published it. I'm not sure why, but my photo images are not displaying full view - they are cropped. I tried resizing and re-uploading my photos, but that didn't correct the problem. I am not that computer literate, so I'm not sure what else to do to solve this problem. ​@@taylorb8523 Listen back to his explanation which makes perfect sense - (If Im giving incorrect information here someone please advise me as it is from back in my days working on websites & domain names. First, the Domain name is not included in the FREE version. You will get some numbers etc. in the URL vs having something specific that Google can be able to search eventually and optimize & rank for positioning. Also, if you get the free version (with no domain name incl) for the first year and let's say your website kills it and is very successful, in your second year when you decide to upgrade your site and buy from Wix, Wix will increase the price of your Domain name knowing that you are successful. So basically you will pay more once they know what you can do. Lastly, Wix will own your domain name, not you, so you may be stuck there if you do well or have a great domain name. Whereas, if you buy a domain name at GO Daddy or one of the other places, that domain name is yours and you can take it anywhere. Here are some places to go to where you can find his information on this in the video: 11:15 - "Why Not Choose Wix Domain?" / 11:52 - "Paying whatever price Wix decides for your domain after 1 year and they own it" Hope this helps!

Hey Aurora, you can slow down the playback speed on any youtube video by clicking on the gear icon in the video frame (bottom right corner), change the playback speed to be slower or faster. Hope this helps you in the future and good luck building your site 😊

Your video is very helpful so far - One thing you might want to mention is that if you accidentally start out in ADI and want to go to Editor as you recommend, you don't have to start over. There is a feature that will change the ADI website into editor one.

Thanks for this. I've had websites before but not WIX. 1. Just started a blog and wanted to understand the dif between Section and Page. The drop down for Add choices are either Section to Page OR Page. I did choose that I was creating a blog. After watching your tutorial I am thinking that what I want is a new page because it is a separate entry and will be a different topic than the first entry. 2. The recommendation was to have topics/categories. I'm hoping I'll figure out where to list those when I go back to the add the new "page" (entry) and look around for where to list those. It took me a couple of weeks to decide what they should be!

After watching the segment about connecting the domain name from Square Space to Wix about 5 times, I found it pretty much useless because I can't follow, or even find the cursor most of the time, so I have no Idea where you're clicking. I would suggest a larger and much more visible cursor as well as highlighting the "click on" area of the screen. You're back and forth so quickly between Wix and Square Space, that I can't figure out what you're actually doing or where you're doing it.

I followed your advice and bought my web domaine from Square Space with the intent of simply transferring the domain name to Wix, and off we go, right??? Ah not so much. I didn't quite catch you or anyone else telling me that there's a 60 day lock on the domain name before it can be transferred. Since I haven't quite grasped the subtlties between transferring a domain name and "pointing" a domain name yet (but soon will, I'm guessing) I'd suggest that you at least mention this when you recommend not buying your domain name and web hosting at the same place. Just a thought.

Guy, I appreciate what you're trying to do but I hate to say you're doing the same thing all the other's that do these video's do, your all over the place with this and very hard to understand thus pay attention to. Dont forget the title of this video, "For Beginners". This is new to us and your speaking a forien language. You understand how to do it and what your saying but we dont. SUGGESTION FOR VIDEO: Remeber we dont know this, dont take for granted we do. Slow down, dont be nervous or try to fit too much info at us at one time. Maybe try to be more mundane and for each segment show us 3 to 4 examples of actually doing it. I know that would take alot more of your time but dont do it at once. It might cost you extra month or two in keeping wix subscription but it would or should accomplish more if you did it like that on 10/ 30 minute video's than 1 long one. There too much info your trying get threw. Maybe you know couple more people that are also knowledgeable about this as you, you'ze could work together on this and like you said maybe of doing one for Shopify. Why not? They all have "Affiliate Program" which pay half decent, you'ze can do all them and get monitized from you tube. That's like square space you mentioned, maybe im wrong but if you're going to very heavily recommend them i dont think their going to sponser you when getting free advertising. Their few decent companies out there, let them know you're not jusf mentioning them or even any of them without being an affiliate which they probably have that program. Just make sure if you mention ones their good. Honestly, if you want do if right tell them get it from uspo(?) and get registered with government. Sorry for such a long message but im very frustrated with this. I been wanting to get e-commerce business for long time but very illiterate on computers and websites. Im from old school, class of 1983 so never learned it in school. Now that i been out of work 3 months due to injury i been really trying but to no avail. Its like i actually know how to set a good business plan but no understanding how to use tools to do it. I believe if i understood this the way you do, and had the connection to the right "TEAM",i could actually create a giant type of platform.

As someone who have used WIX for the last 3 years, I have very few good things to say about WiX. My Website was so slow to load and sometimes does not even load at all.When I see such videos, it makes me wonder how much these youtubers are paid to sell wix products. Their customer service is absolute Gabbage to none existent. Using anymore of their services like facebook ads, wix payments only resulted in higher fees and no results to show for it. I would warn any newbies to actually look at the genuine wix reviews on websites llike trustpilot to see how many hundreds of customers are disgusted and frustrated by Wix's customer service and product.

I am trying to create a Listing website for my used car business. But if I add a store to display my cars (Having multiple photos on 1 listing), i always get add to cart option. I am able to remove the Add to cart option from the main page by going to settings >Settings> Buttons > untick add to cart button. But the Add to cart option still displays when I open the product.
