Prince of the City 1 and 2 (especially 2 as that's where he found his own sound...you could tell he was influenced by Diplomats a lot on the first one. PotC was even something Juelz called himself during his own rise) are tapes that I still go back and listen to. First "celeb" that got me to make a Twitter prior to 2010. I remember trying to tell folks when I was in high school to keep an eye out for this guy when he dropped Star Power, Flight School and then followed up w/ Burn After Rolling. Witnessing the (practically) overnight rise w/ the release of K&OJ was crazy. First year at uni Fall 2010 all of a sudden folks that *didn't* skate were wearing Diamond Supply tees w/ Sports teams snapbacks and Chuck Taylors. Haven't really listened since 2012 but I'm forever a fan because of that mixtape output he had had between 2005-2010. (Can't go without mentioning the Grow Season tape and of course...How Fly w/ Curren$y 🙏)
