Coast guard doesn't enforce fishing regs. Fishing regs are enforced by fish and game in the states And DFO in Canada not Coast guard. My dad was a dfo officer then handed his badge in and became a Coast guard employee. I'm a fisherman

And it's worse for smaller Nations. Especially on the western South American coast. The Chinese fishing ships, (not boats, massive ships) wait until dark, then rush into the territorial waters to poach. They have NO rules or limits. They take everything! Nothing is too small or too endangered. It's an all out theft of other nations coastal resources. They over fished their home waters so now let's take from everyone else. Remember China is roughly 17,000 miles from Ecuador. That's about 45 days at sea, one way! Tells you how desperate they are for food and money. And Winnie the Pooh will tell the press that those boats never crossed into foreign waters...oh no, China would never do that.

This is not real... or not how they are depicting atleast. That is not what a radar contact looks likes. And they are firing those fireworks at eachother. Maybe that was the idea to make him think they were armed and fighting? But he would be seeing their nav lights from miles out. Vessels do not run with deck lights on and turning them off would make no difference. And no vessel ever gets as close as they show in the show, especially not in this scene. They always act like they randomly come upon eachother
