It’s part of an art director to make the art style aesthetically appealing, to which this isn’t. I understand pixel art might have been time costly but it’s so bland. If you replace the style of your previous game at least make it better so the core audience doesn’t feel worse about it.

@SafeRest-sp6ku I wouldn't say that copying Hades gives it its own identity. With this change I'd argue it has lost its identity and now looks like a cheap Hades clone. I hope the game is good but the art style was, personally, its main appeal for me. Switching things up may work for it though. Risk of Rain pulled it off. Also, I don't need an excuse to have an opinion... this your first time on the internet? lol

@@Wilkenros You talk a lot about it copying hades despite it looking nothing like hades. I mean, this is a comic-book simplistic style while Hades is a mix of 2d with 3d characters. If you look side-by-side, they're completely differen't.

I don’t think it actually looks that bad, but they should think about improving the character designs to suit this new 3d style. The iconic plain cloaks that worked in the original pixel art look really generic and cheap in 3d.

I know this song! It's "Crown of Vengeance" by Timothy Shortell. OPUS has 2 of my favorite NeoClassicals Also, the game definitely looks better than what was shown in the announcement. It's a huge downgrade from Pixel Art, which was the main appeal of the game, but at least the character models don't look like ugly, wet clay gnomes

Two suggestions no one asked for: - Change the running animation. Make them do the Naruto Run. - Add some slight changes to the characters' and/or spells' outlines to make them pop a bit more from the background and help with visual clarity. Other than that, buying day one.

Hello, just saying I am one of the biggest fans of the Wizard of Legend "The first one" but like where do I even start.. Graphics and arstyle was the first thing that got to me, I am still in love with the design of the Magic's, different abilities, gameplay, roguelite elements and the ambience and all but- Graphics were like "I dont mind it unless they bring more stuff into the game" but yeah graphics are downgrade for me, the abilities doesn't seem to pop-out or like somewhat unpleasant to look at or to play for me. The "bring more stuff" that I was talking about were like, different abilities etc. but literally didn't see any kind of new abilities did you guys remove abilities on neither of the trailers, instead of adding them that was the literal charm of the game for me? If you're going to downgrade or either remove every single aspect about the game that fans were in love with why even call it the second game then its like a whole different game to me right now. Not to just write a bad comment tho im probably still gonna try the game myself if there's gonna be a demo. Also just saying the Hades , Gunfire reborn, Barony, Risk Of Rain, Cult Of the Lamb etc. (The list can go on for like a year) is literally under 15 dollars and even the first game of Wizard of Legends is 15 right now?? What's the pricing gonna be on the Wizard of Legend 2 then? Thats it for now but I really want to know what happened to the ability variety especially the chess piece move. (that was the reason why I picked up the game)
