Wizard101: What Happened To Low Lvl PvP ?

As someone who quit low lvl pvp a few years ago (lvl 10-20 usually), my issue was they were making broad changes intended for max pvp since that's where the majority of players are, but those changes negatively affected low level pvp. For example enchants ban and numerous TC bans. Low level pvp has been completely neglected ever since around the start of 4th age from what I remember, if not even earlier

Level 1-5 and level 25-35 was peak pvp imo, 50 too when warlord gear first dropped

Low level pvp used to be popular. It’s been dying ever since the wiz changes. It used to be self sustaining. Now pvp leagues need to be advertised by streamers or they need to receive constant changes for them not to be dead.

What do you think? Should the devs bring updates to lower levels of pvp, or keep from touching low level as they have?

Sad to see what wiz pvp has become, used to do it heavily 2009-2014 and it feels like it's just been a steady decline since then. Like the game still averages a decent amount of people according to steamcharts but the fact that the minority of people nowadays who play wiz actually pvp just goes to show you how out of touch the devs are to the point where they've basically killed one of the only enjoyable gamemodes the game has to offer. Rip tournaments too

With the new level scaling 170 deaths are running 3300 hp, 37 rez, 101 storm damage, max pips, and max accuracy at grand and their wand hits arent scaled either so a wand does like 400 damage

Just quit wiz man. I wasn’t even playing wiz in this video because I’ve been quit. The game is cheeks. Cancel membership and pick a different MMO if you have to. Genuine advice, not just shit talking the game.

Also i dont think i have ever heard about anybody besides like adam spear/stephanie boom/emma stalker. they're the one group of people ik of that have actively talked to ratbeard lots. i know MANY people who want changes to low level. new templates, new craftable gear for 60, meta changes etc.

60 gear burrow gear should be craftable like 50,100, and 160

Also sidhe staff drop rate is extremely easy to get from mirror. Its just apart of regular farming ngl imo. just like you'd farm for hat/robe/boots from ww, you need to farm mirror for sidhe staff. its drop rate is fr extremely high.

At grand the game has gotten so boring it’s either you fight a death or “dual schooling” life that’s unbalanced and broken I gave up on the devs trying to make a actually good meta I’ll probably take a big break from the game or maybe just stop playing tbh

PvP is so BAD nowadays.. They remove TC but yet who ever has the most upgraded cards will win so it didnt make it any better actually worse in my view

James would you recommend going to max level all my characters are level 109 but since you can now level scale do you think it’s worth going to max ?

Nice video! Unfortunately, this whole game needs a facelift; otherwise *spending money* will be in the equation of every issue. When this project started (in 2019), the goal was to get more players into PVP. However, when the level band restrictions started, level locking, the devs calling PVP "endgame content", and completely disabling teams, I became confused about the motives. The game seems to be used more for trial and error than to launch confident changes. 5th age is a silly one, that's for sure.

you should make a video specifically talking about how unrealistic the stat maxes are.... better to play low level scaling down than to actually be that level because most of the stats are so impossible to get without being insanely ptw or sacrificing something. the original caps werent bad, these ones are horrible though...

I quit, and I highly suggest anyone reading this or watching these videos to quit aswell. Watching wiz content is fine but please do not spend money on this garbage. The devs do not know what they are doing.
