Alina christmas time is super busy there!! the very best time to go is the week right after thanksgiving lines are always no more than 10 minutes every year :) if you ever get the chance to come here you should if you’re a fan it’s truly an amazing experience

My wand from Ollivanders looked exactly like yours...It’s probably a different core.. ALSO if you wanted to get chosen, wear lots of merch , look really excited, and go to the front. They most of the time will opt for teens and kids first, so keep that in mind *also,thanks for the likes, I know key never get any

@@intothedarkabyss8128 yes it is. You go with everyone into the shop and will get to watch the ceremony. Afterwords you will enter the shop where you can in fact purchase wands (they have custom ones that they use in the ceremonies or you can get an interactive character wand)

I really want to go to wizarding world, but I live in Norway so not gonna happen. But I saw Harry Potter and the cursed child in London yesterday and it was AMAZING! I did not like the script when I first read it, but seeing it on stage was so different and I loved it! Made me really want to re-read the books, have not read them in a couple of years :)

Getting picked by Olivander was also the highlight of my trip too! I got picked the first time over all the small children lol. My wand looks exactly like that one!! Except he said it was birch with unicorn hair as the core. Something about being loyal and a healing soul (my mom thought it scary how accurate he was). And I’m also a Hufflepuff 😊 was literally all smiles the rest of the day. It really is an experience you can’t describe!

When I went to Universal last August, I got chosen in Ollivander’s. It was my first time in the Wizarding World, and my fiancé and I said we were only going to go through the line once, to keep it authentic. I kept telling myself that I wasn’t going to get chosen and that’s okay, because that’s not what it’s about. But then, I get chosen lol and I swear I blacked out because I do not remember most of the actual ceremony. It was incredible, and I am so happy to have my own wand. P.s. my fiancé and I did a lot of studying on wands so we could still pick our own wand, but if you actually ask an Ollivander’s worker, they will ask you questions and place you with a wand. They did that for my fiancé, so we both kinda had our wands chosen for us. :)

I’m not sure if this is really the case but from my experience in universal studio japan, ollivander will probably choose you because you are wearing merchandise. I think it makes sense because you are more likely to spend money and actually buy the wand.

I was recently at wizarding world in Orlando, and I found a wand on the ground!!! (the same one you got!) I was putting my bag in a locker to go on the gringotts ride and heard my foot kick something, so I looked and there it was. the wand chooses the wizard!!!! hahaha. I looked around to see if anyone was looking for it, but nobody seemed to have lost it so I held onto it.

I have the same wand from when I went to the park the year it opened. The wand is based on the birth month of November so the wand has autumn leaves sketched onto it. Mine, however, isn’t interactive. Nonetheless I love it so much.

There are scratch marks on Newt’s because in the first film, when his egg was hatching in the bank, he needed to hold it, so he put his wand in his teeth!
