Something that most people who are only familiar with the Arnold films would miss. Conan is very intelligent. He predates the term Marty Stu, but can in many ways be considered one. I had first encountered Conan in the Marvel comics back in the early seventies. I began to learn more and more about the barbarian and of his origins, namely, Robert E. Howard. I can't remember where I got a few of the paperbacks but I did read them. I was always taken away to the Hyborian age and deepen my love not only for this character, but other works by R.E. Howard. His literary artistry also expanded my knowledge not only of the past, but of the present and future. I gained vocabulary, understanding of weapons and warfare; of gaining of power and losing it. So many other areas of my life that I can recall and where that area got a boost from. Thank You all so much for your wonderful and graphic video and mostly for keeping this story point on! I truly love all the other renditions that have been done about Conan but I was disheartened because they always dissuaded from the actual story which I truly feel that Howard's writing should have been given more respect and from all the would tellers of Howard's tales, your rendition of this one story is the most accurate and true to the same story that I read in the pages of one paper back. ¡ MUNCHO GRACIAS!! Sorry for being long winded but I suggest in looking into a couple of Conan's adventures, namely "A Witch Shall Be Born" and "The Frost Giant's Daughter "? I do hope in the future here that I may be able to support your channel. Again, Thank you guys for an awesome work on these tales!!!

This sounds like it's directly adapted from the story line in the original run of Marvel Comics' "Conan the Barbarian"; issues 19 - 24 or so. The story about "The Living Tarim" was written by Roy Thomas and drawn by Barry Smith ... and finished up by John Buscema. Roy & Barry were at the top of their respective "Conan" games, and Barry left the strip at a super high point. John Buscema came in to replace Barry with a complete different art style that worked well and became more popular. This story arc, and the comics, included Red Sonja's appearance. Those issues are among my most favorite comics ever made. LET'S GIVE PROPER RESPECT TO ROY THOMAS, BARRY WINDSOR-SMITH and JOHN BUSCEMA as the sources for this finely presented content.

May I suggest you look into Micheal Moorcock's Elric Saga featuring Elric of Melniboné and his vampiric soul-stealing sword, Stormbringer. Another great sagas is his Eternal Champion storyline - featuring all his many champions meeting for an epic end-of-the-universe battle. The gist is each epic Age and Dimension has one great Champion - who is the same life energy/force/soul reincarnated into each time and place as the need arises. Ultimately they form as One - the Eternal Champion in the Eternal City of Tanelorn. This city exists in all planes of existence in some form and is the hub of many an epic. Just my 2¢. He is stronger, faster, tougher and hardier than almost anyone on the battlefield, but can pick up virtually any weapon and use it with skill. This is not portrayed well by Arnold on screen. Really captured the intrigues, rivalries, ambitions, follies of personality, beliefs, fears, cowardice, luck, greed, plots, jealousies, resentments, arrogance and complexity of Howard's erstwhile Hyborian world. The struggle for victory over the domination of the depraved and dissolute Kings of Old, held under the sway of dark Gods and vile sorcerors, was not accomplished by picket signs, protests and polemics. It was hard fought for by men and women of tarnished virtues over centuries under a yoke of cruelty and corruption. Hard won not by ideologies and philosophies, but by individual skirmishes of noble and ignoble choices. Individual strength and courage bred by the cunning and insight of a spirit bigoted by beauty and truth. Some are proud to posess words of conviction, but how many posess the nerve? Folly can be taught just as well as wisdom, only Courage or Ignorance can tell the difference. The ignorant barbarian may be as good a tool to decide folly from wisdom as the psychologist.

How no one has made Conan a series on Netflix or Prime and sticking to the literature like this is baffling to me.

You should do videos on Dune! The new movie or book. It would be very cool because there is a lot of depth to the lore. There’s very few dune lore videos on KZbin and your quality would stand out as king of the fandom on KZbin. Would love to see it!

Would love to see a video on Red Sonja, too. She’s kind of like the female version of Conan.

The Red Sonja we all know is a Marvel Comics creation. Based on a Howard Character of Red Sonya, but dropped from 1400s (or so) and into the Hyborean world. It would be cool to see, but there isn't a whole lot of work about her outside of Comics in general.

Valeria would be a better choice

The original Red Sonja created by Robert E. Howard wasn't a character Of the Hyborian Age alongside with Conan. She's a pirate queen type Of character closer to Solomon Kane in the timeline.

Would you guys consider doing the lore of The Dragon Riders of Pern?

We most definitely need a Conan themed banner lord game.
