@andrewl91912 жыл бұрын
Yowza! 7 sets is a LOT. I don't think you need to buy 7 sets and do this kind of a huge build. This is like a luxury setup. I don't think most people will use them to this extent. I had a great combat setup with just a single box of the latest set of normal dungeon tiles. It gave me a pretty good size room with some side rooms lock behind doors and an outside passage. We have a large group, might have had 7 people there, and I wanted to make sure it was large enough to move around AND have a main boss plus two large monsters. I've since added angles and a town and village. It's been more than enough so far. I do have the curves coming in soon so I can add a little more flavor, but generally, I just use a single building with some rooms for my setups. Don't feel like you need to get as many as he is. For example, even Critical Role doesn't use huge setups like these.

I have! The squares are far too small I'm afraid. The Mage Knight bases are much larger than the 1" grid. Things like this are so weird for me. I don't usually do a complicated layout. I would rather describe a lot of this in the theater of the mind, and have maybe a single room with a lead-in or out. I feel like it's just so much to manage. There's just so much here though, that I don't think you could describe all of it, especially if it's a big dungeon crawl where there are clues here or there, and if you have to double back to do something else before being able to move on. Since I've never run a large dungeon like this, WITH terrain as such, I think it'd be interesting to see how it's done and see how it plays out.
