Obviously, I may be wrong but after watching her since PD48, I kinda feel like I've figured her out. She's hardworking, self-disciplined, reliable, seriously smart, and isn't afraid of a challenge. What she IS afraid of is the single spotlight. In a group/team setting, she thrives. When she feels like she's the single focus of attention is when she gets uncomfortable.

One of the reason why she gets voted alot in pd48 was bcs she was NEVER selfish. I remember exactly how she bravely took the initiative to rap for their boombayah stage. That was memorable. And since then, people expected more of her. Thus why she gets voted more. And i'm proud of who she was and who she have become now.

What I like about her is that she isn't discouraged by her "lack" of skill. I personally would have started to rethink my career if I'm always lagging behind. That's not her mindset. She's determined to improve so that one day she'll catch up.

People dont give hyewon enough credit, she keeps up with everyone and doesnt stand out in a bad way and the group has Chaeyeon and Eunbi who are powerhouses. Of course she is not at the same skill level as them but she can keep up just fine.

I feel like she's one of those idols with softer facials so when they don't smile, it tends to be unpleasant to look at for me, but ngl her visuals helps her by ALOT when she smiles, her facials are just more pleasant to look at when she smiles but sometimes her face itself got me distracted even when she doesn't smile, I genuinely feel her weakness is just unextended movements and lack of energy in dancing (it's actually a sign of an underdeveloped technique if you have trouble projecting power) but that's just it for her, she seems like she got at least the good basics of idol dancing (sense of Rythm, beat reading) at least to me she may not be as good as dancers like Chaeyeon or Eunbi but I love her fluid and clear hands, her executions are clear and placements are consistent, her power just isn't because during the SSOTS, her last hand placement is sharp and I was like "SIXJEIZJEISBE WHAT, KWANG BAE DID YOU JUST--" she seems to have good fluidity and gracefulness but she just doesn't know how to apply power, still I won't let her hard work go unnoticed!

I really like her alot. Her skills reflects her personality so much. She doesn't have much confidence but it what makes her who she is. She is so precious, and when she does aegyo (unintentionally), it's so refreshing. It's also fun to watch her get mad and raise her voice. the only thing she lacks now is OTR desire to give her the chances for more lines and dance center time. I mean... the only things to do to remove your shortcomings is by constantly practicing/ excercising, AND (this is important one) given the chances to delivered it on stage, I mean they are a stage performer, OTR should "push" her more by giving the chances for more lines or center time, it's improved her confidence too. I'm rooting so much to OTR for the next comeback, come on give her more chances

hyewon is so good for a trainee that hasn't been trained. yes, 8D didn't trained hyewon properly which causes her to look like she's lacking in so many aspects when she's beside the other members. but within the 2.5 years of being an izone member, she shows how hardworking she is and she's improving day by day. she incredibly improved on ssots era where she had a line on the chorus that shocked all wizones. and to think she performed IU's song on produce. i haven't seen anyone talked about this but personally i think that the reason why she got a F grade is not because of her singing skills, it's because of her looking anxious on stage and the song that she performed didn't had any dance (maybe there's a few step but still). plus Mnet's evil editing made it look bad.

She does have talent but it's just that, I guess prior to the "Oneiric Diary" era, she just wasn't very confident in showing her facial expressions. I say prior to that era because in songs like "Pretty" and "With*One", we do see Hyewon smile more often especially if it's her parts to sing. Proud of her for that.

Kwangbae is a good dancer, she only has a problem with her facial expression which makes her dance look awkward. She's blends in well with the group, she just feels too shy or nervous on her solo parts. If she trains a little bit more on her moves and facial expression, she would be a really great dancer. ✨ *As a dancer I know how important facial expressions are in a performance, it could change the way viewers see your performance.
