this is their best line distribution so far, and especially coming from starship who couldn't do a fair distribution between 4 members, this time it's pretty impressive. considering how in happy both cheng xiao and yeoreum didn't have ANY lines (well yeoreum had one but you know), the fact that both of them actually sing this time is quite amazing. as someone who stans many big groups (my main fandom is super junior, and besides wjsn i also stan seventeen, pentagon, wanna one, the boyz and i used to stan exo back when they were still 12 lol), eventually you just get used to unfair line distributions. it's not fun, especially when it's your bias (mine is cheng xiao, and except for pentagon where my bias actually has the most lines, in most other groups my biases never sing much), but that's just the way it is. you can keep hoping for it every comeback and sometimes it does get better, like in this song, but sometimes there will be members who just never sing much. sometimes those members don't sing but they do get a dance solo or put in the center in their dance break (like jun&the8 from seventeen), or get to show more of their vocals in non-title track... i agree that it' still not perfect, but considering everything i know about starship's shitty line distributions and especially considering wjsn's past songs, i think it's definitely a step in the right direction!

Hands down, Dreams Come True has the most inventive choreography to come out of 2018 even six months on. It's not easy to make groups this big look so coordinated on stage, and that the choreographer was able to stay on theme, give each girl shine, manage their numbers and formations and make such smooth transitions without sending half the group to rest in the wings or do nothing for long stretches of time is truly incredible. It's a shame this single didn't get them their first win, but I know it's coming!

It's sad but true that everyone don't get enough screen space. I remember once in producer 101 Wu Xuan Yi when participating as contestant said that when they were trainees there were barely 10-15 seconds of screen time and were always side placed but never complained about it because it's a practical problem that in a group consisting 12 members everyone can't have enough of screen space but that doesn't mean you're not talented., If you have talent and work hard you will be seen regardless of the place and position. Because it's not the position that defines you rather it's your talent and hard work. I can see Meiqi, Xuan Yi, Cheng Xiao are all talented. Even though they didn't get their respective recognition during WJSN time but they definitely were evolved into higher standards in their own projects and were seen regardless of their positions here..

Well, we do have to admit that Chinese members are now doing way better in China as soloists and so are Korean members as WJSN. Too many members make you lowkey hard to focus on anyone, which is so lamentable because all the girls are beautiful and talented. I'm more happy with what we have right now, where all can shine as their best ❤️
