Me and Miss Loretta had a lot in common. My daddy was a coal miner and we didn't have much but, we had love just like in her song. He and my mommy raised nine girls and I'm the youngest and I'm 55. We live in Tennessee and some people back then had lot's of kids. I am so grateful that I had excellent parents that taught us to manners, to behave, and love everyone! I thank God everyday for this! God bless everyone and everything!

I’m a man, not a son to a coal miner, my father was able to avoid the mines, drove a dump truck for the company instead. I work in a coal plant and while shoveling coal I alway catch myself humming Coal Miner’s Daughter, and laugh at myself. I’ll miss not having been able to see Loretta in person.

I was raised on Loretta's music and Conway Twitty, George Jones, Merle Haggard and so so many more country Legends, however Loretta Lynn..I really loved her music still to this day and her just as a person. My kids who are nown young adults even love her music as well as all the music I listen too. She had a heart of gold & was a very kind woman, she like many Kentuckian's also was very straight to the point type, not one to beat around the bush kind of woman. I am so proud to say that I'm from Kentucky when people ask me. It broke my heart hearing of her passing the other day..I feel sad. I also feel so sorry for her family. The pain they are going through too. One thing that gives me comfort and I'm sure it does others, is that she passed in her sleep. No pain or suffering. That's how I want to go when it's my time. I think that's how many of us without want to go if we had that option. Anyway, sorry for the rant. Rest in Peace Mrs.Loretta.. You can now sing with the angels up above. You will forever be a legend & never forgotten ever! I'll be keeping her kin folk in my prayers.❤️🙏🏼

and a very rich life. She did work a lot though she had a huge family and she was supporting most of them by being their female patriarch. In other words she was the boss and ran the organization. She was also the breadwinner and made the payroll to pay them all. She probably worked to much but the busses have been getting better by the year and she cruised in class. She had to work though to keep the checks rolling in but she created a whole other industry with her ranch and tourist attractions. Much like Dolly.
