I've been looking for more black women who shampoo frequently. We really need to get better hair hygiene. It doesn't take a ton of products to grow hair. Just keep the scalp clean. I started washing my natural 4b hair every 3 days and I cannot believe how calm my scalp finally is and how hydrated my hair stays. It's actually easier to manage now. Ms. Mississippi channel shows her hair growth journey and her hair grew SUPER fast and thick. She says that's all because she shampoos every 2-3 days. She's a natural 4b/c. Plus, shampooing frequently allows us to smell fresh in the head regularly.

I love this so much. I felt like I was "crazy" for wanting to wash my scalp/hair everyday but now I see that more and more people are coming out with the push for frequent washings and the benefits behind it if done correctly. We grew up with the belief that dirt makes our hair "grow", now it is changing.

I have been combing KZbin for SOMEBODY, any natural type 4 that washes their hair every day, lol! You are maybe the second youtuber I found, so thank you for sharing! I have been listening to my intuition and what my scalp needs and it feels so much better being cleansed frequently. I think the key is also using a natural hair cleanser. I will check out your diy shampoo video. Take care and God bless 🙏

I am in the same boat as you. I started thinking if it’s dry, why not wet it more which transitioned into daily washes and my hair loves it. I also had to accept that “dry” is just my texture, but with daily washes it’s soft not brittle and my hair is light bounces and growing. I do have to give ALL GLORY TO GOD.

Oh yes definitely You are giving your hair moisture when your hair gets in contact with water. Moisture is a breeding ground for hair growth Secondly you are are creating a clean environment for new growth when you wash your scalp daily. You are also stimulating blood circulation when you cleanse your scalp. That promotes thicker hair growth. I will actually come up with a video of it as well Thanks for watching hun 🙏😍 l appreciate you 😍

Guys, you don't need to wash your scalp daily, it won't make hair grow faster. Your hair grows regardless, a greasy scalp won't stop it. Think about those women that have their braids, extensions, wigs on for 4+ months to the point of literal gunk and they still see growth. The only thing on your scalp that would stop growth is gorilla glue, lol. Hair growth is internal and only hormones (pregnancy, birth control, etc), supplements (msm, biotin, iron, etc.) and drugs (minoxidil) will change how hair grows. Yes, There is some (flawed) study that topical rosemary can induce hair growth (didn't speed up) and anecdotal stories of things like cloves and peppermint as well. But topicals (that aren't drugs or chemical compounds) won't speed up growth. If you're seeing less than 6 inches a year, you're not retaining length (breakage), internal issues or you happen to grow hair slower than average. If you see more, it was genetic, internal cause, you're retaining more length or it's all in your head. I've seen people claiming to regularly grow 1 inch of hair a month. They're either lying or delusional. Washing daily is just going to break hair unnecessarily, especially if you're always agitating the same partings in the hair. Notice all the short pieces she has on her head? I've grown my 4c hair to waist length twice and the biggest obstacle is mechanical damage from over zealous touching. Hair grows between 3-9 inches a year for healthy people with a majority of people at 6 inches. A majority of people have a MINIMUM terminal length of 12 inches (2 year hair growth cycle before rest/shedding phase, at 6 inches a year), therefore a majority of people (yes, even black women) can grow hair to low shoulder and just have to learn how to retain length. Little to nothing will change that.
