Loved Yvonne. Talked to her at length several times while at college in Arkansas. Loved her voice. Sorry she passed so young. Will never forget her. I was in love.

I talked to her too in the early 80s when I was amazed to pick up the WLS signal in Las Vegas. She was very nice to talk to. I didn't know she passed.

That True Value live copy at 4:05 and Undercurrents live copy at 5:55 is as good as it gets. And when she makes a mistake in the WLS listen-to copy at 28:47 she fixes it just like the pro she was within the walkup time without missing a beat.

One of the news stories was about former White House aid and CIA contact Alexander Butterfield. I looked him up and discovered he is still alive today. He's 98 years old.

Interesting that they had an ad for an Eagles concert at the Iowa state fair. It sounds like they were targeting WLS listeners in Iowa, not those in Chicago. It had to be a lot more expensive than advertising on a local Iowa radio station but was worth it. I know WLS pulled big ratings at night through much of the Midwest.
