Bought two of these just before christmas, tested mine and flipped it once and both the shock towers broke, the stockists hasnt got the parts, so I ordered them from ebay but they are from nthe 124007, I bought the alloy ones and shaved 2mm off the bottom of the front shock tower to fit so it didnt hit the cups on the transmission. the rear fitted like a glove, we are running 3300mah 25c 3 S batteries and getting 45 mph, had to use some velcro to stop the battery sliding forward and hitting the steering servo arm.

Thanks Dome🙂 Yes I have lots of drones but can't use them anymore as my goggles are so out of date and the new ones are SOOOOO expensive here. Both mine and Lennarts are mostly DIY drones and yes VERY fast, 60-70mph minimum even my tiny ones😅 You can get some decent Ready to Fly drones not sure best place to look though. Search Happymodel RTF fpv drones, they make some cool little 2-3s ones. Just be aware it's almost a requirement to know how to use the Betaflight program or Speedybee app to set all the parameters if it's not flying correctly, some drones need to be connected to betaflight before you can even use them depending on the manufacturer, flightboard, binding etc.

No not for decoration. They are much wider than the stock wheels which normally improves stability.

Does it go better with bigger wheels? They look like they get caught up alot. What breaks the most?

It's a buggy so it's ment to have small wheels, bigger wheels can cause many issues with shocks and diffs if they are too big. And these cars are not really bash quality and most parts will break if you push them too hard. These cars are best left stock standard for longevity.

@rccrazy I just brought one I flaged the wheels and spacers. Got a 2847 5600kv motor and steel 16t. I think original is 15t. I have a spare 60amp esc to. But I think your right. Should have enough grunt as is. Any more is asking for trouble. High Off road speed isn't really usable.

@Fading-away yes you may eventually need the 60a esc as the high kv motor and higher gearing will probably exceed the stock esc amp limits, fun to experiment though😁

Hello, mine only has 4 lipos, no shock, no jumps and the back dogbone came out of place and roughened the mouth of the cup, apparently they come short since the pins that go inside the cup when they are horizontal go a little outside but when they are vertical one of them comes out of the cup... And that was the problem,.. You've noticed that... Has something similar happened to you ?

Thank you so much! Yeah why not try it, quick and easy😁 If your still running the stock motor it would be cool to know what you get👌 Disappointed I broke a screw head off on my stock motor. Not done with mine yet though, I think I got a few very easy mods in mind to get ridiculous speed out of it on 3s, but the stock esc may very well go up in smoke🤣

The stock motor Will get too hot, you have to cool it

I don't believe it will overheat considering the 4000kv(higher kv) didn't overheat, it was hot but not overheated. But yes cooling is always going to be helpful👌

Thanks! No I accidentally snapped one of the motor screw heads off and I couldn't remove the thread from the motor, so I could use it but it would've only been held on by 1 screw, motor would easily move and strip the gears instantly.

How do I know if the motor mount is flipped round? It looks the same on both sides to me

The mount is definitely offset otherwise 2 different size pinion gears wouldn't fit, only 1 size would fit no matter how you had the mount. I wouldn't say this if it wasn't the case but I couldn't actually do it myself or show yous and obviously I have😅

It makes perfect sense, the hole in the centre of the mount AND the motor screw holes are not in the centre of the mount so you have 2 pinion options. How does it not make sense?

Mate seriously, is blatantly obvious if you actually tried it. The stock pinion will not mesh up to the spur gear with the mount flipped around because the motor will then be just to far away from the spur. MEANING you have to use a bigger pinion.

The 7 is built to be faster and more controllable, the 8 is built to be more durable.
