Wltoys 144001 Huge Wing upgrade & LC Racing hubs?

Watch me fail at upgrading my buggy twice. Lol. But atleast shes a runner. Ordered a bearing set and metal spur. 😎

watching Phil's video (Tomley) I saw the motor plate has the holes for a 2840 size brushless already there, and cant help but wonder if 4500-5000kv with a smaller pinion might be a really decent setup. comparable torque and more top speed vs the 540-550 brushed motor and possibly better balanced left/right with less all up weight too. longer run time? there's a point where too much torque and speed are just uncontrollable, smaller motor might work a little harder delivering acceleration while pulling less watts/amps from the battery. set ups are fun, the "fastest" car isn't always the quickest getting around a track, also very true!

All the upgrade hubs need 3 x 8 x 4 bearings. The lc racing truggy wing is awesome, and such an improvement over the lexan stock one on really helps stability

Just get a traxxas man. This shit doesn't hold up for bashin for shit. Rustler 4×4 2.0 or slash platinum and you will be happy. The ultimate comes with everything all the sensors for voltage, rpms, speed, temperature and telemetry with the cnc machine suspension parts and gtr shocks and center diff for 500 bucks. It will save you alot of trips to the bench and outperform this one

arrmas are much better bang for the buck than traxxas imo...they all break buddy...i have been in this hobby on and off for over 34 years...not all of us beat the shit out of our cars...i very rarely have anything break in any rc car...

If you get lc racing hubs the bearing are the ones in the book 4×8×3 if you get lc racing parts your wktoys bearing will not fit.

YOu need WLtoys 959 bearings. Same happened to me. The 959 bearings will fit.

Really, cool. I never had a 959 just cause everyone did lol. It was a liitle small too. I ordered lc racing full bearing set and a bumper. Just got my new aluminum body pins aswell

Verry Nice video my friend! I did the same upgrades but how did you fixed the wobbling wheels at the front? If i pull at the wheels they came out of the differential cups and wheel bearings 🤔 do i need other bearings?

I bought same rims for 30 and same problem. What a waste. I finally make it work with 110mm tall super swamper on trail truck but had to use glue as well

Hey there, nice setup You and I have the same issues in common. The second day I had the 144001, I broke the front right hub, might as well been both. I'm STILL WAITING on my parts from WL Toys, good lord are they on a slow boat from China! Talking with a couple of other 144001 owners, just recently, has brought me to the conclusion that the 144001 has issues with some of it's plastic parts, THEY SUCK. I like the brushless set up bro, I want to do the same. Just wish I could get my damn parts already, so I can get on with it, you know??👍💯 If this one other supplier whose named after a huge river in S. America,....I could get the parts quicker, u know?? They seem to have some 144001 parts already. I also came to the conclusion that the 144001 isn't THAT new, it's been around for at least 2 years, we JUST got wind if it, the Chinese marketing guys had everyone in a WL Toys a959b kick for the past 2 years, now they picked the 144001, I just wish it was a lil' quicker getting the parts. speaking of which how long did it take for you to get your parts?? Thanks. Avg 2-4 weeks. Just ordered metal spur direct from wltoys first part Ive ordered directly. I think they took the lc racing overstock and built wltoys new platform with existing stock. I try to order what i think ill need ahead. Hard to make upgrade videos with a busted knuckle and no parts. Lol. Omg rc has his going.

@@supastihl89 Yeah Joe @ OMG got his going without busting up those front hubs!! He got lucky on that, coz they're pretty brittle, AND so easy to break!! The plastic hubs that is, you're inspiring me to NOT get too pissed off at this thing, I would like to build it into a good solid, fast, daily driver, you know what I mean bro??👍💯 I think I'll also start ordering up my brushless setup parts, since both you and Joe have that thing doing mad speeds!!🤘 Nice chatting with ya!

you can get plastic lc racing hubs a lot faster. and the plastic is going to a lot better than wltoys. but the different bearing sizing sucks. shouldnt be more than a couple bucks for one tho.
