There are solo, duet, trio, vocal line (4), and rap line (3) songs that are officially part of the BTS discography and on BTS albums that fit into the story/concept of an album. There are also solo songs the members will put out on their own which they tend to release on Sound Cloud or KZbin for free. All three rappers have released 1 or 2 solo mixtapes for free on Sound Cloud. Some members have also done original soundtrack songs for television shows or movies as well as features on other artists songs... though in features, they are usually credited as X from BTS or just BTS, even if it's not all the members. A few members have even written and/or produced music for other artists.

SINGULARITY is the intro/opening song for BTS' 2018 Album "Love Yourself : Tear" ["Love Yourself" is a Trilogy Album, it has three parts all connected to eachother saying an over arching story]. BTS has both group songs and Solo songs in their group albums. So this was Solo song by the Member V and this man is just incredible. Singularity is also the most critically acclaimed solo song as well. The song is an absolute masterpiece to say the least as it has very deep meaning to it. don’t know if you guys are reading comments, but y’all really need to look into NCT if you like rap / hiphop. a lot of their popular songs are hiphop or r&b inspired. NCT in total have 23 members right now (they’ll be adding more in the future), but they split off into smaller subunits. The 7th Sense by NCT U is more of an r&b feel, Cherry Bomb and Lemonade by NCT 127 have heavy hiphop influence (there isn’t a full music video for Lemonade so you’d have to watch a performance or a lyric video for the full song), New Axis and OK! both also by NCT U are rap/hiphop/trap songs and they go HARD. would have to watch a lyric video for those too as there’s no performances or videos. NCT are golden. a lot of their music is extremely unique and some of it definitely has an acquired taste, but their talent and the way they stand out amongst kpop groups is immeasurable. hope you guys give them a shot in the near future!

The same member, V, that sang “Singularity”, has another neo-soul song, “Stigma”. You have to watch the live version to appreciate it and I don’t think it has English subtitles. Always look at Doolset and/or Genius lyrics for the best translations/explanations. bts never really talked about what the song means, they have a lot of complex contexts and indecipherable content involving books, myths, legends and references that ngl are extremely difficult to understand if you are not a hardcore army. but in theory, this song is inspired by a story from greek mythology, and it basically talks about how often the ego dominates a relationship, one wants to be right and the other doesn't want to be wrong... so it's basically like you're in love w yourself but in the wrong way bc you still don't know how to do that, you don't accept your weak self, you're blind, so blind that your ego acts strongly on you, and that ends up bringing darkness to your soul. that's why this song is part of the album “tear” from the “love yourself” series. is a series of three albums that tell a story. the first album is called “love yourself: her”, and it shows the beginning of something new, a love, something like destiny. a love so strong, it makes you focus only on it. the second album in the series, “love yourself: tear”, addresses the darkness of relationship, when you start to lose yourself in a person, start to be dominated by them and forget who you really are. and the last and third album in the series, “love yourself: answer”, is when you really realize, “it was me that i was supposed to love”. and it talks about a revelation, a discovery, when you find yourself and realize that you could never love someone else before loving yourself. i recommend you to react to some songs from these albums, they are one of the most iconic bts albums and basically they are the essence of the message that bts sends. this series helped a lot of people, millions of people thanked bts, sent them letters and told their stories. i remember how memorable it was because they also saved me with these albums. that's why i tattooed the flower on the album cover over my scars, and whenever i feel like I'm going to relapse, i look at it and feel embraced and loved.

What do you mean? BTS almost ALWAYS talk about the meaning of songs. I mean RM does a VLive after each album and thoroughly explains what inspired a song, why they wrote it, what it means, and all the behind the scenes about it. Even back in the day, Suga would do album reviews and explain each song and the meaning. They even did it with BE, with multiple videos. I'm not sure where this idea that they don't comes from. I mean people even act like Wings being from Demian was never confirmed, when BTS said from the beginning that it was based off that book. Same with Map of the Soul, RM explicitly talked about the books he read and how the songs relate to Jungian psychology. The ego wasn't a part of the Love Yourself Series. The ego is also NOT a bad thing like you are explaining it to be. Ego is yourself, your shadows, your persona, your everything. You need to be in touch with your ego to reach self-actualization. I literally do not think there is even ONE song from BTS that hasn't been thoroughly explained by the members. Maybe Stigma is the only one, though V has still explained it a bit.

*"Love* *Yourself"* are three concept Albums telling a story. The first song of the journey is *"Intro:* *Serendibity"* which is sung by Jimin: you have just met someone and fallen in love, everything is till fragile but you want it. The main song on the first Album of the series *"Love* *Yourself:* *Her"* is *D.N.A.* where everything feels like fated love/perfection. In the Outro doubts beginn to set in. In the *"Intro:* *Singularity* sung by V (Taehyung is the only Bariton in the Vocal Line) he knows already what is wrong but refuses to aknowledge it: "have I lost myself or did I gain you"? He hides it but is already miserable because of it. *"Fake* *Love"* is the main single and here we go from "I don't know why" to "I do know why": because we have lost ourselves and tried to show only our perfect side and the lies have become more hurtfull. The relationship breaks as it makes us miserable and the other never had a chance to really know us. Funnily enough this can be every kind of relationship: romantic, family, friends and so on. *"Outro:* *Tear"* lets us out with bitterness over the failed relationship Nothing is forever. *"Love* *Yourself:* *Answer"* brings the answer with "Epiphany" which is sung by Jin: He contemplates the relationship and comes to the conclusion that he has to love his imperfect self first before he can love others and pushes us to the *"Map* *of* *the* *Soul"* to find out who we are (that are the next albums based on Jungian psychology). *"Idol"* is the single where BTS declares that labels and hate does not matter they will always be themselves against all their critics as they can't stop BTS from loving themselves. 💜 So yeah that was only Taehyung - who also earned his spot in the danceline for this.
