flaminggarlic it's a from scratch granular synthesis engine. There are effects which can make it sound low fi: distortion, sample rate reduction, and flanger.

Hi there, no hi hat sample as the engine required samples with a longer tail with lots of detail and texture. Closed hihats are obviously too short and only have one transient . Although an open hihat can have a longer tail, the level of detailed 'tink' like sounds it makes don't fit the engine as well as the samples we decided to include with the final product.
