+FkNSRS / Akuma I would just like to ask for battle tips. Say you're in a 1 v1 situation against an R34. I'm leading with an NSX and i take the corner. He always seems to be able to get past my block from the inside, i don't know if i'm taking the corner too late, making my corners wider than the R34s, or is it car weight difference? I appreciate any reply. Sometimes, I try to block, but he always seems to be able to pass me.

So essentially what is happening is that they are 'diving' you - See this video at 0:56 seconds in where i dive a car that is turning. When you turn, you lose speed - more so when you are in the lead. The car behind you loses less speed in turns and has boost - if they decide not to turn or turn whilst they are directly behind you, they will "ride" you in the corners. There are a couple of ways to deal with this: a) Hard block them early to create space before the turn b) go full into the corner and hope they dont catch you, see 00:58 seconds in for a failed attempt c) Highly advanced skill "reverse ride" - see 3 minutes 55 Seconds for a reverse ride, where you get on the inside of a trailing opponent and use their car in the turn Good luck!

I appreciate the reply! When an R34 rides me into a corner, I'm at a huge disadvantage since that damn car is so heavy. I usually try to block them as they try to pass through the inside whenever I turn slightly wide. However, I just want to ask the best way to prevent them from passing? When we're neck and neck at a corner with me leading, I tend to step full throttle while trying to block as perpendicular to the road as I can (i would say my car is 60-70 degrees?). Is this advisable? or do I need to reduce the block angle so that I don't lose too much speed? I asked other players, and they told me the best way to prevent them from passing while neck in neck at a corner is to slightly reduce my blocking angle to about 45 degrees, so that I don't lose too much speed, or just kiss the corner apex closer by reducing throttle, or turning early to prevent any spaces from which the opponent can pass. What are your thoughts on this? Again I appreciate the reply!

Generally speaking, if you're on the outside - your going to lose out There are ways to prevent the opponent from diving on the inside - however that skill requires a higher level of skill to really do well, as well as the right car and set up to do so also. Your best bet to deal with this situation is to prevent them from sneaking up from you in corners long before the turn happens - anywhere between 20m-50m before corners in order to prevent them from having any chance in corners. WIthout seeing it in detail - this is the best advise i can give! My apologies - Good luck!

Which one? I've only used the NA1 NSX, it is a pretty good machine, but lacks weight. Suprisingly easy to push corollas and R2s though. Not Evo Tier, but definitely a great alternative.

you mean gear down? It's to limit the speed you're going at a corner without letting your foot off the pedal.

@@zephyr_haru Oh that corner's just a high speed corner despite what the pace marker says. You'll notice that in both timestamps, his rev has gone above 8000 so he's switching to higher gear is all.
