I really appreciate these commercials now, it's extremely refreshing! I'm quite sick and tired of seeing Medicare, Life Insurance, Medications with nasty side effects. I'd love to be able to relive these great and simpler times!

I was born on April 27, 1978. I'm turning 46 years old soon. These commercials aired during my 1st holiday season of my lifetime. I'm a Gen X'er. I grew up watching daytime game shows on ABC, CBS and NBC. I grew up watching cartoons on the independent stations. I grew up watching the commercials. In 1984, I saw the Wendy's commercial where the old lady asked a question: "where's the beef?". I saw the squeeze bottles on the "Hunt's ketchup, French's mustard and Heinz ketchup" commercials in 1985 and afterwards. I'm obsessed with that kind of bottles. I'm obsessed with the mentioned condiments.

So before Bamberger's became Macy's in 1986, New York stations mentioned both chains in their ads.

The black lady in glasses on News Center 4 is Carol Jenkins. The announcer on Ch 4 was Fred Facey. This was 4 years that week before I was born. My parents were dating at the time since March 1977. My mom lived in East Keansburg, New Jersey (where I lived back when I was born) and my dad lived with his sister in Perth Amboy.

Her co-anchor this night (as he I.D.'d himself) was Felipe Luciano (whatever became of him?). Besides "SNL," Don Pardo also V/O'd the VD PSA at 9:23. I also have to presume Mr. Facey handled the sign-off, slides-only newscast in the early Sunday morning here?

Interesting McDonald's used the slogan "Quality you can taste", since that's the slogan of In-N-Out Burger.

These SNL episode ads bring back a lot of memories, as I saw them when they debuted. This Eric Idle one was one of the classics. Anyway, I remember these ads. La Pizzeria was, maybe, the best frozen pizza ever. Take care.

Excellent upload! So clear and sharp, plus I appreciate the timestamps. It's funny how some of these commercials I remember really liking back then. The one for Great Lash, 05:28, I thought the music with the horns was really good, lol.
