My guess on mkleo’s character choice He pick Lucina and Marth In smaller tournament/ games that he can loose (e.g. winner side pre-reset) probably for the fans, and also to have fun, making the match more exciting, as well as just maintaining his marth and Lucina skill. We do see him pull out joker when a game is important, like the UFA final vs gluttony. As a Lucina secondary, I really enjoy watching his marth/ Lucina, it’s almost like art

As a Pikachu main, I can confirm that Pikachu needs to play a bit defensive against sword characters. And Esam is probably one of the most agro players out there. So yes Leo should definitely use Lucina instead of Joker against him.

I’m a noob but I’ve using Wolf a lot. When I use forward B it never acts like that. When it hits, it gives like 4% damage and the opponent barely moves. How at 6:04 Lucina got damaged so bad? Do I have to hit my enemy at a certain angle or distance? Do I have it hit it with the tip of Wolfs claws or something?

mkleo has held title as #1 ssbu player for almost 3 years thats crazy on average the best player within a fighting game switches alot (what they define as best is amount of games played compared to win percentage in region and consistency) street fighter has had 5 best players from 2020 to 2022. tekken has had 3 best player from 2020 to 2022. mortal combat has had 3 best players from 2020 to 2022. blazblue has had 3 best players from 2020-2022. ssbu has had 1 best player from 2020-2022 thats 1.5 players per year being best ???!!! street fighter i will excuse because 2021 was a massive year for street fighter spiking in popularity. And on average have 2 players at best per 2 years.

Christopher Cirefice if you listen to the commentators, you will notice they keep mentioning leos emphasis on spacing and patience, which probably to you looks like hes not trying. I disagree, his lucina has looked like that before in the majority of tourney, if anything the game 5 lucina aggression is more unknown of leo. The “Difference” you see is leo playing more agressive in that he is going for more reads than usual, bc he has adapted.

@@3LimbedHero This game isn't so much about combos rather than spacing, Arsen generates hype from a sense of urgency whether you beat it or not. My problem with Lucina/Marth is the character is very one dimensional, there aren't many ways to play the character differently, as it revolves around safe spacing and solid fundamentals. Of such, they aren't known to be fast/combo characters.
