You have raised a very good question at the end. Why do we praise warlords? This seems like storm to bereaved human history but has rationale of arguments in it. Since emergence of human we have preferred to bow down greater power or warlord, this has definite psychological likeness of human being. We are by nature power seekers or lovers and do fulfil utmost requirements. The difference in modern day world is geopolitics, which we essentially used to remain in powerful position. This racial discrimination has kept ourselves bounded in shackles and nobody wants to break it, as per lust, power-seeking, relationship amongst powerful and weaker. Human are having common objectives for each other and will definitely pursue this till their last breath!!!

However, it is true that truce, peacemakers and the war averters hardly found their place in history. Perhaps, the only figure that is remarked as the greatest peacemaker is only the Islamic Prophet Mohammad PBUH. Besides, it has become only the trend of recent history after the Nobel Peace Prize that the peacemakers(only some were worthy) are acknowledged, even then they hardly become a topic of interest. Perhaps there is a need to change the question when directed towards the peacemakers. We should question their mind, method, and means through which they achieved conflict resolution.

As long as greed (for various objectives) is present, war is inevitable among humans. We can prolong a duration between 2 wars but it will happen ultimately and many times, the bigger the gap the more destructive war will happen. Warlords are remembered because their whole life have been socially impacted in that "gap" which most often is an oppression from the other side or an impression of it or lastly to defend what they have. They fight for their people and after achieving the objective, either they themselves become oppressors or liberate their people. If a war is coming then someone has to lead on the ground and he will be responsible for whatever happens to their children, parents, teachers, elderly, professionals, farmers everyone. Who else is more important to remember then the leader who overcomes every fear to fight and decide the ending?
