Dragon Ball was an adaptation of the novel with a lot of artistic differences. To them, Goku would be like us having an anime with the apostles and jesus or something. Something super common and famous from their culture/folkore/religion and someone made a fun story with the characters.

Goku could've been sent to Earth because Saiyans act different here. Vegeta clearly wasn't mad that Goku didn't conquer Earth, Goku doesn't have any confusion about the name Kakarot but just hates being called that, Vegeta is calmer, ,more poised, and has no problem with Goku marrying Chichi and tells him to do that first before leaving, and he's happy that Goku achieved his transformation instead of being upset about a "low level clown" having access to the form. This looks like a continuity where Saiyans know how to transform and acknowledge that Saiyan transformation is unlocked by forming bonds and going through emotional turmoil, so they purposely send their soldiers to integrate with other races to grow a stronger army of warriors.

Think about it when ur fighting someone are u gonna use ur hands or weapon. And In martial arts they teach u to RUN 🏃‍♂️ if they got a weapon not to confront. But then u can also bring up the argument that in dragon ball there’s also the use of ki blasts 🤔 Again all I’m saying is that dragon ball fights will be very short if they used weapons more often. When goku sliced half of frieza that was it. Man was bleeding out. When gohan lost his arm he was done needed to retreat. While hand to hand combat can essentially go on forever 🤣

@@insatiablehunger2138 You gotta think like a sayian. They’re not gonna run from you, just because you have a weapon. Think about the enemies they fought that shot blasters etc at them. A fighter with enough skill can easily dodge, and get in close for a counter attack, or straight up catch/deflect a bullet/blaster type weapon away. The problem with those types of weapons, is that you have to catch your opponent off guard, and standing still, against strong fighters, you’d have to use them after the hand to hand fight is over. Like when Krillin was gonna stab Vegeta with that sword. And speaking of swords, remember Trunks gave King Cold his sword, and King Cold tried to use it on him. It was a quick fight alright, but not for the person who had the weapon lol. On the reverse side, you have to remember all times Trunk’s sword was caught, and broken, by a strong opponent. Then there are the Ki weapons, which are highly dangerous, but one critical strike, to break the user’s concentration, will dissipate the weapon, costing them a lot of ki and free trip to combo city lol. I think it would be more like Naruto, if they fought more with weapons. The battles wouldn’t be necessarily quick, but there would be more jaw dropping moments in the fights. Even something simple, like Goku covering the power pole with ki, an using it to deflect a blast, or sending it flying into a opponent for a quick strike, as a lead in for a hand to hand attack. I think the battles with frieza force level enemies, would be short, but the main arc enemies would just be more challenging to a hand to hand/weapon fighter like Trunks

Christopher Sabat is is well known as the english VA of both Vegeta and Kuwabara from Yuyu Hakusho. With Kuwa’s main steeze being his Spirit Sword, I imagined that as a little homage.

Honestly when I do this comment I’m not doing this for attention honestly when I first watched this I teared up I remember watching Goku train with Master Roshi meeting krillin meeting Yamcha and then going to the tournament I remember the feeling of when you first turn Super Saiyan I remember when rabbits first arrived on the island I remember him transforming into the great ape and his son following suit I remember when trunks was first introduced I remember when Vegeta turned margin so many memories so many memories just balled up inside of me when I watch this broke my heart honestly just love letter to the fans as well as the series as well as his creators did so much for me and I just let loose I just cried because I did wanna training 100 times earths gravity I did want my hair to Spike up and go golden in my eyes transform green I didn’t want to become stronger.
