Gotta love the irony that out of the two of these, STARSCREAM'S the one with a waist joint. I love this Starscream solely for the fact that it does a lot of things I've wanted a seeker mould to do for so long and knew it would work. The way the nose cone folds into itself and allows for a waist swivel! About fucking time we get a good Starscream with a proper waist swivel that DOESN'T break the sculpt!

One thing I love when I began to fiddle around with the Starscream figure is the wing articulation. You can have it at different angles to have Starscream emote like how he did in Transformers Prime. A very expressive model

These look really good, well engineered, and articulated. Definitely one of the more interesting/unique alt modes Bumblebee has gotten in recent years. Already have the Optimus Prime and Soundwave preordered for next year and may get these two at a later point. The real question is which game will hit first. Reactivate or GTA 6 given how may delays each has had.

Wow, Starscream's chest cockpit actually forms the cockpit for the jet mode! That's something that's weirded me out for a lot of Transformers toys that try to evoke their original look, but have purely decorative duplicate distinctive parts in robot mode that only mimic parts on their vehicle mode. I'm not too much into the Transformers fandom, but I have a distinct feeling there's a name for that sort of thing. Like how every Optimus Prime toy has a robot mode chest that's a windshield and grill but it's usually not the same windshield and grill that's in truck mode.

Glad to see two really good video game Starscreams released within months of eachother. I got the Gamer Edition WFC Starscream and he’s great, and this looks just as good. Bumblebee looks good too, sucks about the waist swivel but it’s easy for me to look past when all the other figures from Reactivate seem to have everything I want. Hopefully these ship sooner than later.

Screamer here is almost perfect. Kinda wishing it did more with arms, because they are just out there under the wings, but this is honestly my favorite screamer since they remade the classics one for earthrise.

At most they could have Made them splay out flat to stock under the wings or concave to cover up the undercarriage. But maybe That would've compromised their stability

@@leonake4194 it would also affect the price for a pretty unreasonable feature. They could also make the chest area slide out a bit to fit the arms, but that would make the chest unstable. Overall, the arms don't really look that bad down there to really complain. It's fine.

Just to clarify, in production this sort of differently molded pieces do not make something more expensive at all, especially because they already use unique separate molds for both left and right side. Sculpt is just that, sculpt. It doesn’t not add to the cost.

Wait, yes it absolutely does. The parts are all molded into one large sprue tree (like a gundam, or car model kit), and injection molded together. Usually in the same color, except for doal molded colors, but that"s another topic. If any part in that tree is changed, they have to re-machine the metal mold that the plastic is shot into. I imagine that they design the potential remolded parts into smaller trees that can be easily remade. AFAIK, this process in no cheeper than the first time, so it cuts into the figure's profits. It costs thousands to machine a mold like that. *Edit - After watching the full video, I have more context to your comment. You are correct, asymmetry doesn't really effect price (there is more design time, but only a few days of work, not enough to blow the budget). It would only have an effect once we get into remolds, but I think they just eat the cost at that point.

So on amazon Canada only the optimus/soundwave is up for preorder and not BB/starscream which is odd cause every other retail has both packs. Figure wise they look so good soundwave looks a bit skinny but it’s all good looking, honestly it’s what I’d expect from a live action film design wise they have a good blend of real life and G1. I like the BB Optimus figure but the reactivate looks so nice

Bumblebee reminds me of Takara's Transformers Alternity Bumble (the one whose vehicle mode was a Suzuki Swift, and got a decent repaint into Cliffjumper and a repaint into Goldbug that's even shittier than Hasbro's Reveal the Shield "Gold Bumblebee" repaint of the Legends class Bumblebee). Starscream...looks like what could've been a Legacy/Legacy Evolution/Legacy United TFP Starscream...it's okaaayyy, but it doesn't quite do it for me as something reppin' a new videogame. 🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️
