I'd sadly have to agree with you, most of us old guys who started with Arma DayZ ended up sticking with Arma DayZ and or Epoch and or Exile....not too many of us stuck around waiting for the devs to get their 💩 together and give us a playable product with DayZ SA.... I was one of the few who stayed on Arma "DayZ" and eventually came over after SA hit 1.0 (even though I owned SA since it's release)....but Tanoa, Tanoa was my baby for Exile Mod.... especially when the server had underwater missions.

now THAT is an update feature thats WORTH being excited for. Foot steps left behind to track players. Fuck that would be sooooooo awesome. But know, ppl be praising the devs in updates for fuck rag .wav files and other weak implementation/changes. oooo a sound change of 10 meters from who can hear you drinking/making a fire.

Because adding dynamic footsteps for players that persist over hours is a very simple task for the devs and that time WOULDNT be better spent on other projects.. Yeah some of this player base is just whiney and delusional. If they add lingering footsteps youre just gonna get domed by someone who uses them to bait free kills while trying to follow them like youre tracking a wild animal. And it would change the game as far as deterring base building because no one is gonna wanna build something where they can just get overnight raided because someone happened to find their footsteps leading to base. It would make stashes 100% obselete. You have to walk in DayZ, there is no way around it. Leaving a trail literally everywhere you go is a recipe for disaster especially for freshies who's only real self defense is to hide or run from people who camp coast with SVDs and M4s. Its an idea that sounds great if you put little to no thought into it, but the more you think about it the less good of an idea it becomes. If the footsteps last too long then people are gonna get mad for the reasons i listed above. If they dont last long enough then people will get mad because they are a useless feature. Knowing DayZ they would just program the footsteps to last until next server restart, and considering some servers restart every 3-4 hours means youd have footsteps everywhere with no clue of how old they are and would end up chasing ghosts for the next few hours till you get mad because server restart messed up your tracking ability.

​@@tmoney1487 Good I want the game more realistic, so rare a chance to actively game counter tracking skills and ambushes. Hope they bring similar to other maps, lack of tracking means things like hunting is easy. With footprints there's no reason to have such loud and easy to find prey. For stashes and bases just lead your footprints to an ambush zone first. Yes it will make the game take even longer to play properly, yes that is an enhancement to a survival game, yes I will learn new skills.

did you fix it? had same problem, tried everything, what helped me was opening the game (not just launcher), then opening Task Manager and then setting high priority for "beservice.exe"

On community they use cheats for different reasons than trolling players with crazy headshot streaks. They use cheats to find players then will turn the cheats off during PVP. To find and bases then turn cheats off afterwards. Some use cheats to hunt other cheaters. Some use cheats to stalk and confuse noobs. Streamers will use cheats to manufacture content for KZbin videos. There are many other ways people use cheats than charging around on official being obvious.
