Am Malawian too and I can relate to this, I have heard this over and over again in well over 15 countries I have visited. We Malawians are well known for our hospitality, honesty, and for just being genuinely nice to everyone. Ofcourse theres always a few rotten apples here and there in any collection, all in all though mostly we are real and courteous to all especially strangers. It is said one can never get lost in Malawi as everyone is prepared to host you as they are more than just eager to show you directions. It's in our culture and in our nature. You are all welcome to Malawi, The Warm Heart of Africa is our slogan

I was in a restaurant in Johannesburg in Sept.2019, talking to a man who travelled alot. I asked him where was a nice place to go, as I was about to go to Capetown. He told me that he didn't really care for Capetown because of the control that the white Africans have there and after visiting I found that he was right. But he did tell me that the place that he liked the most was Mozambique. He said it was controlled more by black Africans and they had more and better beaches. And after seeing the videos here, I am looking forward to making my next trip to Mozambique.

That is incorrect. Though we are all cousins, I never stepped foot in Africa. My father never stepped foot in Africa, my father's father never stepped foot in Africa. We are North American and there is nothing wrong with that. It is a legal status. I am not dual citizened in Africa either so there is no African-American. I am an American born and raised and God who created us all does not care where you live or your skin color so long as you serve him. And he hates pride....so there is no use taking pride in "coming from Africa". All people on this earth stem from Adam and Eve, we are all very distant cousins.

The awkwardness in the conversation @4:03 is because some folks cannot believe you are a REAL African unless you were born and grew up in an African country....in some respects they are right though. I'd say us in the Diaspora are slowing becoming African culturally to match our phenotype as the truth is we are Western influenced. One thing I'll say is that all of the Diaspora who are of enslaved ancestry have a claim to Liberia so do the research and visit the country established just for you ! Lovely Video Wode Maya !! Huts are the most advanced natural structure suitable for a hot place as Africa . The round rondavels ( huts with pyramid shaped roofs) are designed to be round in shape to allow the easy flow of air. The thatched roof is designed to keep rthe house cool in hot days but warm in cold days.

Maya, I was born in Africa,so any African countries that I visit is my home.I had African blood in me so I don’t pay mind to what ever someone or people says.seeing is believing for yourself,I do agreed with all that young American woman said to you in Maputo, Mozambique today in 2020...
