Why does it have to be by force when you know you are AfRaKan? That makes no sense to me! As descendants of AfRaKans, We do not have to have been born in AfRaKa to be AfRaKan! Jamaica, St.Lucia Barbados Antigua all of the CarryBeyond islands are CarryBeyond NOT CARIBBEAN, for We were carried beyond our native shores and lands by those who enslaved Us! You are AfRaKan not Jamaican, that's just the island that the particular slave ship stopped and deposited your Ancestors!

History tells us that Jamaican slaves were directly from Ghana, mostly from the tribe of the Ashanti people. I am a Jamaican in France but I was told this by two Ghanaians who studied the history.

Daily we hear about Ghana being expensive and that is because the focus is on Accra. Meanwhile, the Eastern, Central, Western, and Volta regions are gorgeous and relatively affordable. Accra is just a starting point.

Decentralization would help in the economic development of every region. Having to travel to Accra for all formal and informal activities isn’t necessary and not productive. Focus should be on making every region efficient and effective. Really love the landscape and the serenity I’m seeing in Volta region. Beautiful region and people. Thank you Wode Maya!

Sad that our leaders from all the political parties and all these politicians in Ghana don't promote tourism in Ghana. How nice it will be to see all the politicians visiting such places for their congresses and holidays. But, they will go to Dubai and then brag how they love Ghana. Very sad.

I feel the Volta Region is so beautiful, it's unspoiled with God's beauty nature all around it, the air is so fresh and clean...It reminds me of the Caribbean so much, I wouldn't be surprise if this is the area the Caribbean people was stolen from...I just hope the Volta area keeps it's natural beauty...and don't spoil with it....The beach is the only place where the salt does not give you high blood pressure.

I am from the Volta Region. I said the same thing when l got to the eastern parishes of St Thomas and Portland in Jamaica. So, it goes without saying that people's state of mind and contentedness help create and shape their environments. This is why Africans in remote villages are more "peace-loving" and less belligerent than people in congested metropolitan areas of the West. Too much stress!

Wode Maya, the tallest mountain in West Africa is MOUNT FAKO (4,095 metres) in Ambazonia!! It is currently being wrongly called mount Cameroon, but very soon it will be officially known again as MOUNT FAKO!!! Mount FAKO is the 2nd tallest mountain in Africa, after mount KILIMANJARO of Tanzania.

Guy who spoke of the Danish slave trade and the fort is obsolutely correct. The Danish had the biggest slave market on the island of st thomas known then as the Danish west indies where they brought the slaves to be sold throughout the Caribbean islands. Today St Thomas is now one of the United States Virgin Islands 🇻🇮.

Most of the Afrikans taken by the Danes trekked into the Volta Region carrying the Danes. The trade extended along the shores of Keta all the way to Atorkor where my Great Grandfather ruled as Torgbui Adaku Dosu IV … The slaves consisted of Ewes/Northerners…They were transported mainly to Cuba, St. Croix and other parts of the Caribbean… The Danish were the biggest slave traders in the West Indies as you said; but we tend to cloud their involvement with the British dominance in the vile trade… TFS…one love #OneAfrika .

@@globalcetzen5271 As I understand it the Portuguese came 1st, enslaving Africans for hundreds of years, then the Dutch, also enslaving for 100's of years, then the British. I wasn't really aware of the Danish involvement though I am not surprised. At one time the Danish from Denmark, the Swedish & other Viking type YT people enslaved other YT people like the Irish, British, Germans & French were slaves for the Vikings.
@bandit4true
@bandit4true 2 жыл бұрын
@@globalcetzen5271 Yes the captured people did ended up in Cuba or St Croix and many of the other Caribbean islands but the action for the slaves where held on St. T Thomas which was then the Danes main island in the Caribbean. Some of the captured where even sent to the mainland U.S. The market where the captured were action off still stands today in the capital city of Charlotte Amalie, St.thomas.

Wode Maya, you went at the wrong time, if you go during the migratory season, you will certainly see a marvel. I have forgotten when that time is but the tourist bodies should be able to know and make that period for their promotion and attract bird watchers from around the world to Keta.
