i don't think so, because you can see that he got into a position such that he was able to hook the morphling, and at the time he had no vision on ES. its just lucky that the ES managed to blink and fissure in time. you can also see that pudge was waiting for morphling to wave because he knew that if morph was hooked before that he can just wave out. and the rot-bite was most likely because he momentarily lost vision so it was difficult for him to click in time.

I have to think the pudge-morphing scene was a fluke - the pudge wanted to hook the es, who managed to blink into a fissure. As such, the pudge 'accidentally' hooked the morphing, who ended up in the same line of trajectory as the ES (a moment ago) after he waveformed. Which is to say the scene was mere luck and the pudge was not exactly pro - which is further evident in how he was so surprised by his lucky hook that he did not rot-bite upon hooking.
