It's interesting how in the 25 years they've had the "three-and-a-vowel" rule, no one has ever solved it before calling their letters. I often wonder what would happen if they did. If that would be aloud or if in that case they couldn't give it to them because of a violation of the rules. Again, just something I've often wondered about.

I think a lot of them who have the puzzle figured out before they guess letters will call the letters they think are in the puzzle.

If a contestant "guessed" the puzzle, before picking "three and a vowel" rule, that answer would have to count - correct or not correct. One Answer Only !!

Yeah. I always wondered about quick bonus round solves and Pat himself has mentioned that he didn't quite understand it. I always thought it was the used letter board that helped. But I guess some people don't look at the puzzle. They just think of the category and say whatever comes to mind and often times it works to their advantage.
