There is even a "Used Letter Board" program now on the Apple App store that allows you to keep track of the letters that have been called.

it is tough to play strategy in the final round because if he purpously didn't say the puzzle, either of the other 2 players could have guessed a key letter and he would have gotten no extra money. it is different if you keep control and spin again, but waiting it out for 2 other players is a dangerous strategy

Just saw this and am calling bs here. I don't think most people here EVER are thinking time and score that soon in the bonus round. The puzzle came to him at the end of his 3 seconds and he said it. Pretty lucky for Hot tonic girl though. Yikes!

What was the value of the Prize Puzzle trip? I'm wondering how close the first 3 rounds came to awarding the absolute minimum ($1K, $1K, $0 + Prize Puzzle). Anything less than $6,630, and it's just a little higher than the minimum.

I couldn't help but wonder if she wouldn't got the BR puzzle if it weren't from the audience. Of course, it would had been worse than that "A_ARD" incident.

I wonder what would have happened if that extra $1000 that Pat called on the wheel had affected the outcome of the game, i.e. if it had caused a different champion. Likely, they would have brought all three players back for another crack at it.

You do know that the extra $1000 added to whatever the wheel lands on in the final spin has been in place for the last roughly 20 years now, if not longer, right? That's the reason why Pat called it as a $1600 spin. That hasn't ever had any sort of effect on the outcome of the game unless there was an error in judgment on behalf of the production staff. And as long as I've been watching the show, I don't recall any such error ever occurring.

He shouldn't have won that much in the first place. Pat's spin landed on $600, but he called it as $1600. Thankfully, that mistake didn't affect the outcome of the game.
