Let's get real. The issue is only that he went to the Eagles. No one cares that he got his bag. However, if this is about the money then the difference was 3 million. We literally offered SB close near the say contact and he turned it down but accepted it from the Eagles. That's a clear indication he didn't want to be with the Giants like he said he would otherwise, he would of made adjustments to be here. But again, the bag isn't the issue. This is like you and your girl broke up and she started dating your brother. Like wtf! We don't care that we broke up, its the simple fact he kept it in the family. The selection of Saquon Barkley, who I love, was the biggest mistake the Giants made in 2018. If they traded down they could have selected Quentin Nelson and other interior players and then get the RB later on in the future. Speaking of the future I wouldn't be surprised if they get a premium OT (Joe Alt?) in this year's draft if they pass on a 1st Round WR.

Ideally you don’t want to see your homegrown players go but X got a contract which surpasses what he’s done and most likely what he will do with GB. Barkley has not been given much to work with but it’s always risky to pay someone at his position with his injury history. CMC is just different so don’t talk about that. This is how a rebuild is supposed to be done. All the contracts are such that there is flexibility to move on from them

Do you know why Derek Carr has the respect of everyone who plays with him despite we the fans thinking he's over-rated to begin with, washed up anyway & can't win? Play-calling. McDaniels wanted him out & even if he thought The Worst of him, doing it that way was 100% due to Personal Hatred, not what was best for the franchise. & he called bad plays to make Carr look inept. Did anyone see that game where Carr was shouting at his own receivers *during a game*, then about 3 weeks later the Saints' offense started playing better? While Dennis Allen looked on? That was Carr finally stepping in & fixing all the carp Pete Carmichael did & while it was too late to make the playoffs, who here has ever seen any other QB _DO_ that, fix his team's offense During Games? Well there's another QB being sabotaged by their play-callers that the Giants can get for cheap. This QB publicly said to us through the camera that they did Not Know what their coaches expected of them. Can you think of any QB saying that, their coaches Doing Nothing About it or even bothering to dispel any such rumors being a QB they wanted? This was just a few weeks after this QB suddenly started staring at instead of passing to open receivers. Even a back-up QB for the Jets they were going to release would be taken into the tent after the drive for concussion protocol. This QB wasn't. Which not only shows his team does Not Care about them, but that they _knew_ he wasn't concussed. How did they know that? Because he was executing the plays As Called. They *called for him to not pass to certain receivers on certain plays.* His HC deflected all reporter questions about this with a hand-chopping/wave motion like an angry adult trying to shush unruly children. Now:imagine Any QB making any progress with their own coaches telling them to Read Your Receiver's # Before Passing. _Imagine_ that. Someone named Bosa or Watt is about to make you part of the turf. Please take a moment to read, not pass to the open receiver. This actually takes _MORE_ situational awareness than the norm than less. But fans all missed this. Well, if the guy can process fast enough to escape the Highest Amount Of Pressure in the league & read, still guide his offense to being #1 in the NFL for weeks at a time & have élite passing #s to two receivers despite one of them not being élite, imagine what they can do with Daboll the QB whisperer? & since D.J. Moore is Fields' most vocal supporter, I'm willing to bet that the Giants can attract the possibility of getting him *_and_ Fields*, plus possibly something else for their #1 pick. (The something else being either an o-linesman or a pick with which they can draft one, possibly the Bears' #9). Yes, I have had time to think of all this.

I both agree and disagree about your statement on Barkley. It's totally childish and ridiculous to pout and complain about Barkley heading to Philly. He's a guy from Pennsylvania who wanted to stay in the area and the Eagles are a power house. It makes sense. And they overpaid him. All of us would take that deal. That being said, we're fans. My only problem with Barkley (other than we shouldn't have drafted him in the first place because of his position) and ANY player that does what he did is, stop saying you want to be on your team for life before hand. Trading our second round pick for Burns means we have no second round pick to trade up with and we can't pick a qb in the second round as of now. Not sure where the QB is coming from unless it's purely developmental. Unless your hoping one of them drops to 6? If one of them dosn't drop to 6, take the best wide receiver or trade down if you think you can still get that receiver after. Mckenzie and Lock. They should have kept that money and gotten a better lineman with it. I really don't see either of them helping much at all. It's more of the same of what we already have at receiver. And do you see Lock being better than Divito? Maybe. Marginally. Give him a C Because most of the signings seem like stop gaps. He seems to like this approach with free agency. I don't know. With the line, the stop gaps haven't been working. I think he should have signed just one of the really good lineman instead of two ok ones. Who cares about the wide receiver and the QB he signed? Absolute nothing signings to me. Take that money and add it to signing a quality lineman. I like the trade and I like the running back.
