i definitely have listened to "red belt" like, 12 times since seeing this video, and i legitimately can't think of anything else while it's playing besides sara having a red karate belt tied around her head over her eyes. haha thanks tegan! :)

I think the song is just about sex, haha. When she says "you transfer all your weight and disappear" and then "kneel, to condition all the feelings that you feel". It makes me think of transferring weight and getting off the bed to kneel at the edge of the bed to get things started (if you will). It kinda confirms my suspicions when Tegan asks if she wanted to fight the person she liked and she replies "Sometimes people call it that" and then giggles.

I feel the same about this is song as Tegan does, it took me sooo much time just to begin to understand what "Red Belt" meant, like it was a martial art thing ... And I did pictured Sara with a belt tied around a head oO (yeah this song made no sense to me until seeing this ^^)

When this song came out. Me and my ex looked at the back of the cd and saw they have a song called "RED BELT" I made a joke saying that it would be funny if it was about my favorite movie "RED BELT" cause I"m a martial arts teacher and it reminds me of my struggles of trying to stay pure in this world. When I heard that sara loved the movie and named it after the movie. I cried and they instantly became one of my favorites of all time. Sadly all these fan girls want it to be about sex cause they can't think deeper. But how should they know not everyone is a martial artist. Most people do it for a couple of months or a couple of years then quit.
