Mayones Wojtek Pilichowski signature bass :) The ebony fretboard is really bright. And it's impressive that when he bends the strings by depressing the body and neck, it holds its tuning. Beautiful bass!

He started out more melodic and evocative than most soloists, who mainly want to show how fast they are. Bass is supposed to be with the percussion for a reason, and this guy's showing us why. I prefer something more melodic there towards the end where it just became a race, but I also love percussion, so I still liked the whole thing.

Well, indeed Mark King was a great and an influential player but I think Larry Graham was a bit earlier than King....dunno who was the very first hammer/plucking though.

Great player, and beautiful bass. The more solos , and demonstrations i hear the more I grow tried of hearing masters at slap bass. Please tell me there is more to soloing than rapid triplets and extremely fast 32nd notes.
