I watch all of the Doss family channels. Started when it was just Adler Farms back at your parents' place. Chad, Rae, Case, Carter, and Adler - your 40 acres have really become a beautiful farm with amazing animals. I have also learned the problems of working to the max seven days a week year after year. I would never ask Chad/Rae to work such a punishing regime in the long term . (2 long term because its of Chronic Fatigue) Even if I may relish this! I would prefer to relish in the generosity of this Festive Season and understand Rae is covering a much heavier load behind the scenes to help this happen. I am about to be a 5 year Adler Farms member-joined very early Jan 2020-a very proud achievement on both sides.

We feed the deer all year long, it is a mix of corn and minerals the deer need. Feeding all corn is not good for the deer. We feed the deer a product called deer fuel. It is awesome the deer love it. Congratulations on harvesting the doe. Waiting to see the baby.

Thanks for the closeup of the poop launcher! 😱 My brothers have a cabin in the UP and grow a feedlot during the summer growing season for the deer. In October, they buy about 300 pounds of sugar beets and spread them in the lot for the winter. They have about 20 acres off the grid with a cabin they built.

My dad does feed the deer year round here in Maine. They actually will come right out to him while he is setting the food out in piles. I helped him bring up a couple of buckets of wild life grain last spring and there were at least twenty deer waiting for their meal in the meadow and woods surrounding the area where we put out the feed. 🙂

From Shelbyville, Illinois. We have friends who live in Hardin. When u dress the deer what kinda of meat do u get. Love roasts, deer bgr, venison. I've not really had to much of it. Jerky oh ya. I think Belle is keeping sunny company. she probably notices Sunny is close to delivery. And she might just be trying to protect Sunny from anything while she starts labor. She might be ornery but She might be the best one to Watch over Sunny. My favorite of your Cattle are Tipsy and June, and Fiona. and of your Dogs Cabela is my favorite. As a vet tech I have been bitten 3 times over more than 25 years as a tech. all 3 bites were Doxies. Two wire coated and one smooth coat. And they never warned me they just bit LOL!

You are going to laugh, but I "wean" the deer off of corn & sweet feed in the Spring and I just feed a small amount of Purina Nicker Makers (horse treats which are alfalfa, corn, etc.) so that they keep visiting, and then in the Fall I transition back to corn/sweet feed again. On my trail cam the other night I had 3 bucks together-an 8 pointer, a 6 and a 5 -pretty awesome. Had a good buck "fight" the other night as well-they were butting heads, but it was short lived.

suggestion, if you plan on cleaning up the deer feed area, cut those vines now. If you cut them now then the vines going between the trees will be dead enough to easily break instead of holding the tree tops together when you thin that area.
