Woking and Old Oak

A rare visit to Woking was made whilst visiting my Parents and the main action was taken from the footbridge at St Johns near Woking Jn. We see some Locos stabled at the station, 47s on West of England services, a 60 on the Holybourne tanks and some slam door stock. Notice how full of Engineers wagons the yards are necessitating the need for an 08 to be deployed for shunting.
After the Woking action it is back 'home' to London and a visit to Old Oak showing lots of scrap 47s at the Depot following their withdrawl from the Thames Valley and Oxford services

The bridge you took most of the footage from was known as twin bridges, (or tin bridges, depending on who you spoke to). Great footage. Thanks for sharing....

Sidings all gone now on the upside !! Only Days aggregates use a few sidings on the down - Guildford side !! Local council trying to shut them down due to truck movements in residential areas!!!

Absolutely superb video, it’s great to see the view from that bridge in Woking as I remember it with all sorts of wagons and locos in all directions, and of course many more sidings than there are now.
